I have posted several times that I was disappointed with the Gibbs hire. You must have missed those posts.
My disappointment was amplified knowing there were several current assistant college and even head college coaches who contacted Mainieri about the openings, including Cain's eventual new assignment.
It was a big let down for me.

If PM had options... what sounds like better options... I don't know how you defend that. In any way. What does he do going forward? What hitting coach is going to want to come here knowing PM's attitude toward the position in general and what he's willing to (not) do for him? What coaches out there are solely known for recruiting and only want to recruit? Is Cain really the answer going forward in PM's eyes?
