JL got the same treatment after fans got excited at first about him winning at Auburn (which few of our QBs ever do), JJ got the same treatment after fans got excited at first about his MVP Peach Bowl performance, Mett was booed against Towson a few games after being named the Mettsiah, Jennings got the same treatment after he was the savior against Arkansas and Harris is now getting the same treatment that all the others got. People forget real fast how quickly they've anointed QBs in the past only to see their excitement quickly dwindle. Next up - Danny Etling.
It's hard being a QB at LSU under Miles. It's almost like they forget that they've ever played QB before at times. I hope that Etling won't fall into the pattern, but it seems to be a hard trend to break.

You also need to remember that a couple of those incompletions you're so hung on were the fault of Dupre being charmin soft with rock hands.
The same happened to Harris last week. That is my point. People thinking that they saw a QB perform at some rare level last night is comical. The offense played with urgency, and that is something worth noting and crediting to Etling. Etling also looks better in the pocket and fundamentally, so that helps too. The rest of the stuff is fluff from people who never wanted Harris in the first place.

The biggest difference was that Etling was accurate when he first came in. Harris has been really inaccurate. A strong arm doesn't matter at all when you can't put the ball in a decent spot. Also, Etling actually used his feet a few times - Harris seems like he has forgotten that he has feet).

Him booboo lipping around the sidelines on national TV was bush league.
Have some class kid. You lost the position because you don't have it between the ears. Support your Tigers and don't poison other players minds because you couldn't hack it.

The mistake they are making with Brandon Harris is similar to what Texas and Mac Brown did with Vince Young. These guys (Hartis, Jenngings, Jefferson) are dual threat QB and they are being forced into playing into a scheme instead of allowing them to play natural. Switch to a spread offense an allow a dual threat QB do what is best in that situation. He can run the option, or read option or throw a pass. He has the skill set and talent to excel but he is being bridled by an old outdated pro-style offense that is easily defended. Vince Young was allowed to be himself and utilize his talents and Texas won the national championship. LSU has several QB and each one has a unique skill set and shouldn't be confined to play within a system. Their skills got them the scholarship now let their skills and talents help the team win a championship.
