Daniels’ problem is was not good last year and he looked rough in the spring game.
Can’t be both and expect hype.
I would love a QB with his mobility but he has to be able to throw better than that.

Threw for over 300 yards 5 times his freshman year and 400 once. Then their program went to shite. Still, for his career, he averaged 207 yards passing on 24.9 attempts/game. Only averaged 10.2 carries a game for his career, and I’m sure a lot of those were designed runs and I’m pretty sure they included sacks. Not much room for a bunch of “1 read, then tuck it and runs” that you’d expect from a “run 1st” QB.
I’m not arguing he should start (I like Nuss). His accuracy in the spring game was not impressive. But that was a very small sample size in a vanilla practice compared to his 29 actual game starts. I’m willing to to give him—and Brian Kelly if he names him the starter—the benefit of the doubt and wait and see before bringing out the pitch forks. Any other stance is just not fair or reasonable in any way. And the vitriol this dude is receiving makes me embarrassed to be an LSU fan. So many of you are such fricking a-hole pieces of shite.
Oh, and in case anybody wants to do some actual research, here are Daniels’ and Brennan’s career, game by game stats, including the opponents. Speaking of, that 400 yard passing game he had as a true freshman, came in a win against a Justin Herbert led Oregon that finished the year 12-2 and ranked #5 in the final AP poll. It was their only conference loss of the season.

People that have a favorite in this QB race are retarded. The 3 dudes have a combined 0 pass attempts at LSU under this staff

Jayden daniels is a better athlete than Desmond Ridder, if he is as good of a passer Denbrock will want him the starter

I agree. When I said I like Nuss, I just meant his demeanor/confidence. I’m not pulling for him to start. I’m pulling for the best QB to start, and I trust that BK can figure out who that is. And with all the BK praise on here, it’s baffling that people have already decided they hate Daniels. If he doesn’t start, he’s at the very least experienced depth. If he does and you love and trust BK, why not trust him with that decision if its the one he ultimately goes with? But not too baffling, honestly.

Nussmeier starting is arguably the best for LSU football long term, so I can see that argument but that’s about it

If Hot Carl wasn't obviously so gay and so freaking proud of it, he'd know that as soon as Brian Kelly arrived on campus that everybody's slate on the LSU's football team was wiped clean.
Hence, whatever happened in the past is not even relevant. Instead, the only thing relevant is each player on the team, including the QBs, has to earn their role on the team.

Certainly hope so. Wish Kirklin was still here.

The Mississippi State game …is what they see when they look at him
I remember him failing to convert third downs in the second half allowing state to hang around and eventually take the lead then him failing to put us in position to win the game.
Blame it on the defense all you want but we were firmly in that game to win it and Brennan failed us.
Same goes for the Mizzou game.

I don't know who is going to start at qb but I'm looking forward to no busts on the o line.
That is going to help all the qbs out.

Level of competition questionable, against the better teams his numbers were dismal. Would be surprised if he can handle the SEC.
Props to his confidence though. I know the rant loves running QB's, but he's gonna have to improve on his passing decisions.

I’m excited for our front 7. I feel like they’re really going to get after opposing QBs. Might make up for our suspect secondary.

Jeremy Hill definitely agrees with you. I remain agnostic and have faith in BK's decision making.

Do you still think LSU can't recruit QBs due to their QB room right now because they about to get a commit from a QB here soon.
Can't wait for the mental insults coming.

I just want to see the guy who gives us the best chance to win on the field, unlike so many here who choose a favorite and ride that horse into the ground.
