I'll keep it simple.

I remember when beating Auburn in the not too distant past was really awesome. This year it was an ungratifying win.

I remember when beating Florida in the not too distant past left me just waiting to hit the Gulf Coast beaches in the summer with my LSU tee shirt on and feeling...I love to beat the jorts! This year, another win, but kinda ungratifying.

I remember when beating Florida and Auburn in the same year was a glory year. This year, we just beat two programs who are down. A bit ungratifying.

I think this is MY problem and has more to do with being set up by recent success than our program is in 'decline.'

If this is true, then so is UGA, UF, UM, UT, USCe, and UArk, MissST, etc.

I SAY: It's my problem and give 'em hell Tigers and I am proud to support you and LSU.

Give A&M hell. See you at Tiger Stadium, loud and proud in two weeks.

Just meant at the time. In the rain...miserable game day experience. And at the time, not really sure how they would pan out.

Actually, if there is a real decline in the program you may see more interest in the mundane games. Honestly, no one gets worked up over 2/3rds of the games LSU plays in a season. Sometimes more.

Maybe a dry spell will get some excitement back for the week to week contests.

I agree with this but may have to take a looong vacation from here if there really is a decline.

I'm with ya. It's a sort of a curse of a winning program.

Not much one can do about it except take your attitude, remember the painful past and feel grateful for having a top top 10/top 5 football program.

really ?

we are losing games that we should not lose, that's the problem..
not just the stats

..yes some idiots think we should win the NC game every year..not realistic, but I do expect for our coaches to earn their $ every year..

they get paid every year don't they?

Look dude, this is the SEC. Ole Miss is our traditional rival. You act like like it was some division three high school team. They have always played LSU hard. They won, it was a good win for them. Now let them enjoy it til next year when the tigers destroy them. And get over it we got aTm in another week. Geaux

Probably so. Interest would drop initially but hell, I remember when ever gay was exciting and the outcome was rarely thought of as a sure win. I think we all take success for granted.

that Ole Miss plays us hard, does not justify the loss.....specially since they were missing five starters, including linebacker Serderius Bryant, the team's leading tackler.

ALABAMA is the reason that LSU fans are not enjoying the games. They have absolutely destroyed our program's identity in three games. The only way LSU and our fan base regain our sense of identity is to beat them. Unfortunately we will have to wait for 12 long months for our next opportunity.

It sucks but, it is the truth.

We need to turn our respect and admiration into hate and rage.

Bama's success is the main reason LSU football is unsatisfying to many. I'm able to hate Bama but still look forward to each game. I'm excited to watch my team regardless of opponent but I realize people take it more seriously than me and feel otherwise.

No you were right go first time. We're in decline and Les is a dumbass. Had he not fluked into the 07 title game, he'd be gone already.
