Fair question. At first, I thought we (LSU) had the most negative fanbase. But, after talking with many SEC fans for several weeks, there are a small percentage of fans that think pretty much the same way. Hope that helps you.

I have always wondered why is it that the older "positive" fans resort to name calling first over the younger "negative" fans.

I have had the same experience and it was with Bama fans too. They just repeat what they hear in the media and admit he is a good coach once confronted with the facts. Defend the school you are fan for before accepting some media opinion.

If we have such a problem with emotional, non-rational, idiot negative fans who know nothing about football and who's only goal is to bash Miles(without cause) day in and day out, then why have every thread created since Miles committed to stay here instead of leaving been started by a supposed Positiger. I can see shortcoming in Miles skillset through actual on the field and off the field failures that have occurred over the past few years but I don't see how seeing and pointing them out make me a negative fan for LSU. Because of his committment to BR and his excellence in other areas, I see a lot of potential and put the skills I feel he lacks on the back burner until they show up again on the field. How can the supposed "Positigers" ignore a coach's near catastrophic decisions and also sincerely believe they are helping LSU. If our offense is 108th next year and we see the same inept player development and gameday coaching and you still have the "stand by your man" position, you are blind if you don't recognize that you are detrimental to our school.

this is where you miss the boat, I'm a Tiger fan, been a Tiger fan since the mid 70s and will die a Tiger fan. Loyalty means nothing to you. You are only interested in tooting your own horn. I'm suppose to be the obsessed one, but I have many Tulane friends that would never be found on a Tiger board. You are here everyday all day, but I'm the obsessed one, yea right!

No way I have to disagree, the negatigers are the people who make our fans look bad, and if anything was the reason Miles could have left. The negatigers are the ones booing at games, complaining on the boards in spite of our victories, and making LSU fans look bad to the national media...
Positigers think: "We're 11-2 and couldve been in the National Championship this year if not for a few plays in a few games that went down to the wire."
Negatigers think: "We should have been 8-5 this year we were lucky."
Positigers think: "Close win good teams find a way go tigers"
Negatigers think: "Close win = loss"
Positigers expect LSU to win 10 games a year (because we have 4 of the last 6 years)
Negatigers expect LSU to lose 4-6 games a year (because we have 2 of the last 6 years)
even Saban faced massive criticism and cited it as a reason for leaving in 2004, imagine if the rant was around then we would've flamed on Saban too
Point is there is less reason to think negatively that positively with this program, negatigers we have righted the ship and we are poised for an excellent season next year. Enjoy it instead of flaming on our hometeam...
