I believe getting a few series a game, more than the 1 or 2 he got during Auburn and Tulane, could have made a difference in his play against Alabama.

I actually thought Lee should have went in and been given a chance, but after the way he looked. RS should have went in. Lee looked the same as last year. Like a deer stuckin headlights...

Game was over once we lost Jefferson, Scott and Peterson.

I'm not saying the kid should take us to the NC game. But again guys, look at the alternative. It's Jarret Lee. Lee has not proven much at all. And true, either has Sheppard. But I got to believe there is more of an upside to Sheppard than to Lee. I've said it once, and I will say it again...Lee is out of his element. Kid is not and SEC QB.

A Saban recruit. Shocker. He's also a RB that gets limited carries. He's not learning WR routes and the QB position.

Who else?

Sadly, I actually agree that this is a coaching issue. There are plenty of Freshman around the country at major programs that have been coached well enought to come in and play. AND, many of them did not attend all of the spring practices.

Who are these true freshmen you speak of? The kid from Michigan? How's that working out for him?

Game would've been over for Bama had they lost McElroy, Ingram and their lockdown DB for several plays due to cramps.

What has Shepard proven? He's proven that he can't line up correctly at times.

What has he done throwing the ball? Does he know where to put the ball on WR routes? Does he know WHEN to throw the ball?

Honestly, when Jefferson went down, you believed LSU would win with Shepard running the offense?

I wonder if they stayed out to 2AM on Thursday drinking at a bar like our players did?

I said in my post Shep hasnt proven much yet. But that there is more of an upside to him versus Lee. That's all.

We would have had a better chance, for sure. Hell, Shep could have taken a snap out of the Wildcat formation, and taken it to the house. He at least does have that as a threat. Speed. Big play capability, raw talent.

Peterson, Jefferson and Scott were partying till 2 AM on Thursday? Did not know that.

McElroy doesn't strike me as the partying type.

You named one out of over 100 true freshmen QBs that had some success. That's really a low success rate, don't you think?

What gives Shep the edge by running the wildcat every play?
