His senior year it was actually 0.0 since he left after his junior year. His junior year was 7.9 yards per completion.

Braindead.

Damn, you'll call us completely undeserving of our most recent National Championship just to try and make a point about Matt Flynn?

you fricking preach about putting words in people's mouths, and then you post this shite. You are nothing but a hypocrite. One, I haven't attacked Flynn on this site and I defended him in 2007. He was a great QB for LSU. I have actually defended him in front of his family at the SEC Championship when some jackass kept yelling Matt Who at the game.

LSU was completely deserving of the NC, we had the best resume. Do I think we stood out? No, we lost to 2 teams that finished the season unranked and struggled in every game down the stretch. When I think of a team standing out, I think of Florida who won by 10+ in their last 10 games, not LSU who limped into the NC after other teams lost. We were the only team left, we were lucky to get in. If you don't see that, you're just a major homer. Never said LSU was undeserving, we had the best resume at the end of the year. fricking hypocrite

Mauck also had 2:1 TD to Interception ratio (28 TDs, 14 Ints). Russell was over 3:1 (28 Tds, 8 Ints)

Shall we keep going?

Mauck didn't play his senior year and I would love to see these stats

7.9 YPA compared to JR's 9.15

any other dumb, made up stats you want to throw out there

Let's go back to this

quote:

He could never consistantly hit anyone over 15 yds

In 2006, only three quarterbacks in all of college football had a higher average yards per completion.

Colt Brennan 9.9 yds/comp.

Brian Brahm 9.7 yds/comp.

John Beck 9.3 yds/comp.

Russell 9.1 yds/comp.

Check out the defenses:

Brennan - WAC, yep lots of stellar "D" there

Beck - Mountain West, just a regular breeding ground for NFL secondaries

Brahm - CUSA, to give some perspective, Tulane is in their conference.

Stats I am finding show the 2003 season and only reflect SEC games. Mauck average completion is 11.81. These are the games that had major significance. I can't imagine his stats dropped that much for non-conference games to give him an average of 7. PS. Better team and field leader and has a ring to boot.

Ringeaux?

You going to tell us that Chad Loup had a 27.8 yard/comp. average?

You didn't answer my question antonio, so ill ask it again

And ask Marino if he would trade his stats for what Dilfer has, and ask Dilfer if he would trade his ring for Marino's stats?

JR's average COMPLETION was 13.5 yards. The usual stat is yards per attempt

Funny how JR average more than 10 yards per throw but only threw 5 yard passes

+ the playaction should have killed when Mauck played because of our running game and oline (best ever at LSU IMO). His ypa should be higher because of this (but they aren't)

Mauck also threw 14 int's with one of the best running games in the nation (compared to JR's 8)

Does the BCS have a "Crystal Stat Book" we can have made special for J Mack?

How is your question in any way relative to who is the better quarterback?

And if you don't think Dilfer would trade his ring for Marino's HOF plaque, millions of dollars, prestige, reputation, records, and all the pussy he crushed, well, then you're fricking retarded too.

I honestly don't know. Right now, I would imagine that he would trade for the ring. After he gets elected into the hall of fame, I don't know what he'd do at that point.

Regardless, its irrelevant in discussing who was the better QB.

personally, I wouldn't trade it BUT in JR's case he did. He passed it up for $32 million

Ringeaux, JR averaged 13.5 YPC which has to be near a LSU best if not the best.

He did this without a good running game, which is very impressive.

You're right though, he could only throw passes under 10 yards (but those are timing routes, which he shouldn't be accurate enough to throw anyway )

Don't forget his NutriSystem endorsement! I know when I was a child all I dreamed about was prestige, endorsements, and statistics. Last thing any young football player dreams about is winning the Crystal Ball or the Lombardi trophy
