Hey I’m glad we’re playing at all. Didn’t look promising not that long ago.

Needed more bye weeks. Start earlier, and give some wiggle room when games get postponed

More time to master everything that goes with playing in this environment. We have learned a great deal already, but we will learn even more from other colleges and the NFL playing before us.

I wish we were playing now, too, but it is what it is.

sure would be nice to sneak a peek at what crazy Mike Leach has up his sleeve, against a cupcake opener...

With the talent disparity he could run every trick play in the book and it won’t matter.
Going to be something like 42 to 14.

Bottom line is they needed more time to figure out what to do, and bought an extra week by pushing the season back a bit. I always feel like the first game is too early anyway when sitting in thee\ stadium

Yeah the SEC lost out and I thought that when this was originally planned. Both the ACC and Big 12 sounded better as they allowed for better ease in case postponments for weather or massive covid outbreak, and the Big 12 allowed one OOC opponent for a tune up game (although i can't understand why Iowa St would go with ULL which was supposed to be considered second beat in their conference).

It was more important to march with Ryan Clark

The thinking from the SEC was to have a buffer between students returning to campus and the first game just in case there was an outbreak.

Playing an all SEC schedule is like an NFL schedule. Everyone needs to be ready to play. Guys need conditioning before the season starts. This is crucial

Look at all the games (3?) scheduled earlier than Sept 26 that have already been cancelled/postponed. Maybe waiting til Sept 26 was smart. Maybe...

So you mad that Tulane, Lafayette and Monroe all played? Just be happy the SEC is playing. Glad to see Tulane and Lafayette win. Monroe shat the bed but its Monroe.
