Brother our defense is what it is – historically bad. There is a decent chance our offense puts up 40 and our defense can't make a single stop and we lose. That doesn't change anything about BKs ability to get this sorted out next season.

So BK comes in after O let go. 39 scholarship players and a shite load of defections because of the firing and you expected BK to rebuild the defense in ONE FRICKING YEAR?

I bet you drink instant coffee, eat instant oatmeal and go for fast food every day. No such thing as an INSTANT DEFENSE in the SEC.

Repeat after me

WE DON'T HAVE THE TALENT YET
WE DON'T HAVE THE TALENT YET

Come on now one more time
WE DON'T HAVE THE TALENT YET

The defense is atrocious. Without Jayden Daniels (who as I said CBK deserves credit), this team could've lost 5 or 6 games this year.

Maybe the defense will improve significantly next year. But there is cause for concern.

Do you remember when O became head coach, no QB, no receivers, and no proven running back.
I don't remember many excuses made by Ranters.
I remember the ridicule, as a result of experimenting with a different offense. When the offense struggled, he fired the OC, hired Brady, signed a new QB, and three new receivers.
Brought in a freshmen CB, kept the the DC and made history.

Two years and waiting. Kelly, you are on the clock.

There is no cause for concern in year two.

Cause for concern can only begin at the end of next season.

LSU goes into next season without Jayden Daniels and, unless there is significant improvement in the off-season, a terrible defense. We shouldn't be concerned about that going in to next season?

You mean the number 1 team that was far and away better than any team in college football?
Yeah. The team that was ahead by 25 at halftime and never ahead by less than three scores the second half.

This is the biggest game of the year as far as I'm concerned both for bragging rights and recruiting.

I’d believe in him more if he did something about the defensive staff as soon as the game is over.

Man I'm so tired of this lazy excuse. In year 2 he has put together the 2nd best offensive unit in LSU's history so cut the bullsh*t... even with a half arse coaching job on defense we would be in the playoffs right now.

Just call it what is...The coaching hires, the scheme, in-game coaching, development, and preparation on the defensive side of the ball has been extremely sh*tty.

These idiots will continue with the cookie cutter excuses. Anyone who isn't concerned with the things that you mentioned just doesn't know anything about football.

Well, there may be grist for the mill to be sure, but we must also account for Daniels's amazing jump in play this year. It is little short of astounding. He better get some defensive players soon.

He did decide to hire Matt House as his DC, so that at a minimum has to give you some pause.
