[quote]Kelly and Denbrock preferred a mobile QB.[/quote

To be fair, it was more than mobility. I'm a Myles fan too, but to say the only difference was mobility is shorting JD by a lot. Daniels was a generational talent who might well be the number 1 pick in the draft after winning the Heisman. A lot more than mobility went into that and with one exception, he was the best QB I've seen in 50 years of watching LSU football.

So, we should give Brennan his due, but there wasn't much point in hanging around once he saw who his competition was. I wish Brennan had played but in that window of Burrows to Daniels? No chance for even a very good QB to see the field.

Should’ve went with Brennan in 2022. What’s the worst that could’ve happen? Lose 3 games in back to back seasons.

Quick, give me the stats of Brennans first/only three games as a starter and Daniels. Do you remember Daniels vs Arkansas and Texas A&M?
Daniels was not great until about the third game of his fifth season as a starter. Then he was the best in college football.

Do you remember Daniels against Alabama and Florida as a junior? Also he was a freshman phenom at ASU.

Why is just quitting football superior to transferring?

He was here for 5 years. And he spent his last 1.75 years injured. If you don’t see the difference between that and transferring I don’t know what to tell you.

One was here for 5 years then quit playing football when it became clear he wasn’t going to start in year 6.

The other was here for 2 years then quit playing football, as a starter, to spend the whole season preparing for the draft.

You’re right, definitely the same thing.
