We had that giant meter that would light up when the noise increased.

Dead Dome. The house that Matt McMahon, Scott Woodward and all the McMen built.

I was a student at lsu for the 86-89 basketball seasons. It was amazing.
We sat on the front few rows courtside (had to be there hours before the doors opened) and students filled 40% of the deaf dome until Joe Dean took the student tickets away and moved them behind the goal.

CJ was the best basketball player to ever play at LSU besides Pistol Pete and Bob Petit.

It was the Deaf Dome when I was in school during the Dale Brown era when the noise was truly deafening. They had to quit calling it that to keep from looking foolish.

It was called the Deaf Dome as far back as the late '70s.
