I don't know that 2010 will be a make or break season for Miles. I can't foresee all of the possibilities. LSU should be much improved. I'm sure there will be consequences if the team fails
There better be. Miles has no excuse for 2010. What was the excuse this year? A green QB and lack of OL talent. These were (according to some) our weaknesses, if Miles is a good coach, then our weaknesses should become our strengths. I did not see that during the course of the season, the OL remained a weakness as did QB play. I am expecting significant improvement in those areas, if there is no improvement Miles is a goner.

Did you not notice that our QB was exceptionally green at the beginning of the 2008 season and at the beginning of the 2009 season?
Do you not think that LSU would have had a much better record in 2008 and in 2009 if Ryan Perrilloux had been playing QB?
Do you not think that Les Miles made the right decision in dismissing Ryan Perrilloux?
What is the greatest difference between 2005-2007 and 2008-2009? Is it the coaching staff or the talent at significant positions?
Do you not believe that LSU will improve at those positions in 2010 and 2011? Why do you refuse to acknowledge the obvious?
Have you not seen the talent LSU is bringing in this year and next year?
Yes

I really don't understand some of our fans. I need some answers.
Ole Miss game 2009... this is what turned many fans sour. I'm SLOWLY getting over some of it. I'm not going into further detail with this.

Here's my post:

but LSU should have crushed La Tech with it's 3rd string, and with Tech having 4 of it's best players not even playing. That is a product of poor coaching, poor motivation, and poor game planning. You can't spin that.
The post was about being poorly prepared and looking like shite against a lesser opponent. There was nothing in there about winning the game. It's obvious to any goober that we won the game, that's a strawman argument. Anyone can say we won and that's ok, it takes a more critical eye and understanding of the game to say that yes, we won, but the path we took to get there was ugly and frustrating.

Lee played like crap. That happens. It happens to every team. What I am saying and what you are failing to hear is that it is okay to play Tech and win ugly even if it is frustrating. Just win.

How many games in the past 2 years was LSU favored and actually came to play? By that I mean, name the lesser teams that we owned like we should? Other top teams in the country destroy lesser teams most of the time with an occasional letdown. LSU has a letdown almost every week.

I can accept ugly wins against the Techs of the worls if LSU played to its potential on a consistent basis. The problem here is that LSU never shows up for a full 60 mins, constantly gets out coached, and does not put anyone away. Georgia and Arkansas were two teams we could have easily put away but didnt (and almost lost) if we want to be an elite program again, we have to start paying attention to detail and not just be content with an ugly win against Tech. The Tech game is just an example of how LSU is flat, unprepared, and unmotivated. Dooley outcoached Miles, Miles just had the benefit of more talent. That is the problem here, not the result of the game

Will you be a charter member of the March for Miles brigade this year?
As long as Miles continues to win at his present career rate, take us to bowl games each year, win west titles a fair share of the time, take us to BCS bowls, and have us nationally ranked 4 out of every 5 years, I can me talked into marching in any brigade you wish.

So, when LSU took NC Bama into the 4th quarter at Bama with the lead and played them to within one score for 57 mins of the game, did Miles outcoach Nick? After all, didn't Nick just have the benefit of more talent?

What are you taling about? Bama and LSU have equal talent, Bama is just better coached. Miles did not outcoach Saban because this was yet another example of LSU not putting together a complete, 60 minute game. We had a 14 point lead and gave it up, some people might be happy to just get a 14 point lead at one point, but that is meaningless if you are unable to finish. Saban outcoached Miles, plain and simple. His scheme was to take over the game in the 4th quarter, while Miles is the opposite, stop playing hard by the 4th quarter.
ETA: I don't think we had a 14 point lead, I think it was 7.

Really? Just one question...where has our Mark Ingram been hiding all year?

Well if you are insinuating that Bama has more talent, then why is that? Saban's been there for a shorter period than Miles has been at LSU. Killing your argument here.
