as a huge fan since 1966 and a proud PhD graduate from lsu, I am embarrassed and ashamed at the overall tone of the rant of late. The bitching, crying, complaining and general pussification of this population in general is appalling. To read the rant, an outsider would think we are not bowl eligible, probably don’t even have a coach, have the worst facility in the world, and I dont know- maybe they’d think lsu is just gonna quit football soon. COME ON! Get a life! Be proud and count your blessings! Let’s talk about what we have and not what we don’t have for a change! Get some vagisil and straighten up and decide to be with us or against us!

I hope so Denver tiger. This thread not getting much traction kind of explains it all does it not? I was hoping to at least stir a few emotions at least

I have been an LSU fan since the mid 70s.

LSU fans were this bad then too. The rant just gives them a wider audience to show their colors.

Go 14-0 while giving them something to bitch about is how you make our fan base happy.

One's opinion! Remember if everyone thought the same we would be miserable.

LSU fan's wet dream- undefeated season, sec championship, national championship, bitch about the margin of victory in said title game, bench the starting qb for the backup and fire the coach.

Well said Pete. Being critical is one thing, and a good thing, but a surprising number of our posters have a disturbing amount of hate in them.

Unfortunately, I think it is also true that most of the fair weather fans are the most vocal. Little bit like the extremists in political and mainstream media circles. I’d like to think that the rest of our fan base doesn’t have this amount of hate for their Tigers. I also think all of our fan base wants and expects great things every year, but some of us will support the Tigers win or lose.

It all started after the 2007 championship. We were the best fanbase in America for a long time. Sat nt in Death Valley was on most bucket list. Didn’t matter if we had 3/4 or 5 losses the stadium was packed and raucous. It’s these young entitled snowflakes that didn’t watch Tiger football Untill this millenium

Guys, not many who post on here who are older than me. I well recall Cannon's return against Ole Miss like it was yesterday and I was a grammar school kid then. I heard it on KEEL or KWKH, Shreveport, on my dad's car AM radio while traveling to my grandmother's house. Dad pulled over at a truck stop and dared any of us to open our mouth as the signal was in and out.

A couple of things come to mind. The vast majority of LA folks have been and are LSU fans. Always have been. Yet all you Johnny come latelys get on here and blast Shreveport, Monroe, and every where else you are NOT from, like we have leprosy and hate LSU and like these areas have never contributed to the program. A lot of us never had the opportunity to afford to go to college, much less LSU, but that does not stop us from loving LSU. In fact, a couple of LSU's largest donors in history never went to college or finished high school.

Secondly, if an opinion on here conflicts with yours, all of a sudden the poster is considered an idiot because you are the genius.

What a lot of you youngsters need is a good dose of being poor, not having had it handed to you all your life, and put yourself in the shoes of others. We as a society have become spoiled and apparently we as LSU fans think we have it all, know it all, and worse, deserve it all.

As to recruits, I think most of them are probably smarter than we on here are. Those who shop themselves will go to the highest bidder and ain't true-blue LSU to begin with.

Go ahead and blast at me as I could care less. I've been a staunch LSU fan before most of our parents or even grandparents were and I've seen it all, pretty much.

I didn't read your post but it's safe to say that talented, extremely dedicated athletes and millionaires spend very little time chugging code red and eating pizza pockets while reading the trash on here.
