I've lived in the Houston area for 10+ years and don't think that I'll ever root for UT. However, I'll also never really dislike or think less of them like I do the Aggies.

I've heard numerous stories from UT, TX Tech, and other Big12 fans about Aggies that I'm starting to better understand. The Aggies know everyone talks about them behind their backs but their way of responding only adds to the stereotype. It's like that 'sort of' mentally challenged kid in school that you think is normal until they start rambling about something.

I remember one UT friend telling a story about a memorial service he attended for a UT alum that had donated millions to a hospital. A couple of the Aggies would do that annoying hiss whenever they mentioned that he had degrees from UT. He married an Aggie and had some interesting stories about things he witnessed from Aggies that almost appeared normal on the surface.

Yup. Big Brother is always on their mind.

I think A&M/LSU might be a rivalry while Jimbo is there. His meddling nephew and dipshit Dameyune made sure of that.

Man say what you want, Texas A&M walked out on them. Left for the SEC, cut ties with the ridiculous voting rights texas had in the big 12. We have made inconsistent Progress upward, upward yes but inconsistent to say it best. we beat Bama one year, Beat yall this year, while we lost to MSST and Auburn. Yeah the rivalry with texas was a good one, but We hate yall about as much as you hate us right now. Yall mopped the floor with us for 5 years, and to burn that awesome game down your throats for the next year is awesome. I love it. Grow up and get you a corn dog, it's college football isn't it?

Change your fight song then.

Until you do, I don't believe you.

Aggies are Texans first and foremost and Big Brother in Austin is never far from your mind.

You will play them again and you know it. It's just a matter of time.

I ain't got no control over the song. Traditions a big thing with us, annoyingly so sometimes. So, say what you want. Think that's a low blow......

Man, as an Aggie, who grew up in Texas, dealing with all the politics with this, it's staggering. I know you don't care, but Imma say it anyways. Theres a bill proposed in the SENATE in Austin, to reintroduce the game. Ken Starr President of Baylor at the Time sued Texas A&M for leaving the conference. It was a smart decision recruiting wise, money wise, football wise, and politically wise. WE left them. Make no mistake

Good.

I look forward to when Aggy is dragged kicking and screaming back to the table and has to play Big Bro again.

It will happen.

ETA: The bill was introduced by an Aggy:

Per Larson's bio, the Republican and representative of House District 122 graduated from A&M in 1981. In 2013, he co-authored a bill congratulating former A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel on winning the 2012 Heisman Trophy, which goes to the top player in college football that season.

Either that, or a wannabe military school.

Well, as a matter of fact...

Members of the Corps have served in every armed conflict fought by the United States since 1876. There were 20,229 Aggies who served in World War II, and of these, 14,123 served as officers, more than any other school, including the combined totals of the United States Military Academy and the United States Naval Academy. Today, over 40% of the 2300 member Corps of Cadets commission into the U.S. military each year.

You're so right.

Not only is Aggy's academics on par with the Ivy League, but they surpass the service academies as far as putting officers in the military.

You cannot invent this level of delusion.

The SEC asked for that waiver. A&M could and did walked away just like Nebraska, Colorado and Missouri! The rest of the school decided to stay because they didn’t have a better option outside of staying in that toxic conference.

It is amazing to see what a bunch of whiny losers you guys are after losing one game.

Now I understand why in ‘95 LSU broke the contract and stopped playing A&M, we were kicking your arse on the field and you guys ran like a bunch of little girls!!Lol
