I miss the 90s

The war on steroids really watered down college baseball. They nerfed the bats but I wood knot be nearly as mad about that as I am at the fact that they will knot let us do some roids to overcum the equipment changes.
Y’all remember what it was like in the day. Our kids are too scrawny and too thin to replicate what they did in the day. They looked like 35 year old men back in the 90s. Gorilla ball.
Where in the hell is our strength and conditioning coach. Let’s at least strive for modest gains. It seems as if we stopped lifting all together when they told us we couldn’t rail steroids straight to the dome.

The music and pop culture were terrible though. Good riddance.

shite I wood take anything over watching kids play small ball. This just isn’t LSU baseball. We are the brand. The epicenter of college baseball. We wood pass for a West Coast baseball club back in the 90s.

The HR numbers had much more to do with the bats than anything else. With the same bats Cabrera and Beloso would be mashing absolute bombs

Compare the heigh and weights of the 97 team to the current team and look me dead in the eye and tell me that we have the beef to turn on one like we did the year we hit 188 bombs in a season.

CPM has turned the tigers into a mediocre team...
He has lost the fans base too...way too many empty seats

When we got to Omaha after the new ballpark was built, and we played small ball teams, we were trying to hit HR’s and it didn’t work and we lost.
Since then, CPM recruited more small ball players to win in Omaha, IMHO. It hasn’t panned out with Championships yet, but the team is more likely to win there like in 2017.

I just don’t like what we have turned into. A undersized game management type team that focuses on hitting through the gaps and bunting. We have a couple dudes with some size on them but to me I am thinking where in the hell do we get some of these guys and where the hell is our strength and conditioning coach.
You can’t tell me that this hasn’t had an effect on the program. As you can see, we aren’t drawing but 400-600 fans per game this year. It’s sad. Other programs like Arkansas, OM, MSU etc are drawing 7k plus in actual attendance.
