This team will be good.

Defense- as good as any tiger team in recent memory. Only potential issue is at catcher, but Hernandez has been a pleasant surprise.

Pitching - 3 solid starters. Once Schmidt and ware are in pen , and guidry is up and running we will have a pretty deep pen that should be a real advantage for us. This should be amplified on Sat/Sun.

Offense- pretty excited about this offense. Curiel/bear/dickinson/milam are all legit. Playing matchups with Frey/both Pearsons/reaves /brasswell/larson should allow all of them to have lots of success when they get opportunities. Also allows for pinch runners or defensive subs when justified.

Gonna be a fun year.

You forget where every SEC pitching staff will probably have the same command problems with these horrible SEC umps that practically force pitchers to have to throw it right down broadway in order for them to call it a strike. It’s infuriating how bad they are.

But it has helped us the past couple years in post season when the zone widens up. Both 2023 and 2024 pitchers seemed to be locked in for the postseason but I’d argue it’s because they were given the black a lot more in post season.
