That’s when LSU has been the best, when fans made a difference to make up for the talent gap... TS was the 12th man... unfortunately money and recent success has dwindled the underdog card. Stadium half full if losing by halftime.

I like that the coaches can play that card but I really really like the way the players at media days handled everything. Instead of doing the us against the world or getting upset and faux outrage like a lot of teams do. Our guys were just like we appreciate your thoughts and we respect them but it’s our job to just go out and prove you wrong. It displayed some kind of quiet confidence. This team knows something And is ready to just prove it. It could eventually mean nothing and everyone is correct about them but it could also mean that we are in for a hell of a ride this fall. I can’t wait to see it.

Lsu is being underrated due to lack of research. Phil Steele was way off in returning starters, which the media has jumped all over the inexperience card. I'll say it again, lsu will be better at every position group other than rb.

It’s one thing if your team is pegged somewhere around 12-14 when you know they are really a top 5 team.
It’s an entirely different discussion when a team that probably finishes the seasons 21 or 22 starts the season unranked.

Many years ago I lived next to a "bookie", so I starting betting just for fun.
I would only bet when LSU was not favored, I beat the line 84 % of the time.
I also noticed that if LSU was favored by more than 1 TD, to leave it alone.....specially if in double digts.
Almost always lost.
If LSU was "just" favored at about 3 pts it was 50/50
I moved from Mobile many years ago.
