Point is a mass exodus of tiger stadium at any point before the game is over will look bad, and the fans will be criticized accordingly. The reason that people are mad and voicing their opinions about it is because all of us who stayed get lumped into the same category of "bad LSU fans" when anyone in the media is talking about us, and mostly because the team, regardless of what you think about the coaches, schemes, etc, etc, do fuel off of good/bad fan support. Also, like it or not, it does have an effect on recruiting.

I would rather the pathetic part of our fanbase correct its behavior
And you solve that by posting crap on a message board? All you are doing is making us look like a bunch of infighting morons.

What did Plato say about boo'ing the team and then leaving?

Exactly. And blowing it up even further and sitting here fighting with one another does NOTHING to help this. Anytime someone starts one of these threads someone else will start one that says "I LEFT AT HALFTIME AND I AM PROUD!" But I suppose that looks good to some people.

HAHAHAHAHAHA......all of you pathetic "fans" and you know who you are, sooooooo deserved that.
Too many Candy Arses in Tiger Stadium now, thanks to A LOT of the long time die hards being priced out by Bertman/TAF. From early 70's-Present, I've never left a game early because of the score or weather. (That includes the classic blowouts, freeze outs and monsoons)......

I am serious. Since when is leaving a game a crime? I do not generally leave games early myself, but that is because I enjoy them. Still, if you are not enjoying yourself, seems to me reasonable to leave. I feel the same way about booing. I don't like it and don't do it, but I don't criticize those that do.
But in this particular case, I imagine I would have stayed, but not out of any moral obligation. Rather, the moral obligation seems to run the other direction.
I would stay because I like Tiger Stadium on almost all occasions.

Many, many horrible fans on this board....easy way to voice my displeasure to the culprits...dont worry i express myself to they're faces when I come across these types. As for how it makes our fanbase appear....HAHAHAHAHA, our "fanbase" takes care of that on its own with the booing and the leaving.

And you still aren't helping, just adding fuel to the fire.

Alrighty then don't whine about the fans when they look bad. If all you are going to do is magnify the problem by being a smartass then I lump you in the same category as the bad apples.

let it go people! we are all cheering for the same team here, am i right??
No, I think the point is that some "fans" aren't cheering for the TEAM! They are boooing the only real option we have a QB, who is an important member of the TEAM!!
The booing is a total disgrace, no excuse for it!
And I think I tend to see a trend between the people who were posting the meanest, craziest, stupidest crap on the scoreboard Sat. night, and the same people being the ones who are "supportive" of the "right" to boo players and leave Tiger Stadium 2/3 empty because "they" (fans)were being embarrased!

negatigers!!

What is a horrible fan? Someone who leaves early? I lived in Europe and saw horrible fans. They rape, pillage and burn the city. Imagine 120 deaths after a game...those are horrible fans. I think y'all have been spoiled on Americana. Somebody does one little thing you don't like and you fall to pieces, worried that, "OH no, maybe somebody will think less of me too now..."
Grow up. Be responsible for your actions, and so long as other folks aren't bothering you, leave them be.

Feel free to lump me in with the die hard, never leave a game early, havent missed a home game in 16 years, bleed purple and gold win, lose or draw, types that despise a great portion of our pathetic fanbase.

The fan base makes itself look bad and they need to be called on it repeatedly.

Called on? Yes. Talked to like they are in a high school argument with snide comments and immature insults? No.

People certainly have the right to leave early if they want to, but it pisses me off and this is the reason. I pay good money for season tickets and I travel from Houston to see the tigers. In my opinion, the leaving early devalues the tiger stadium experience thus devaluing the tickets that I pay for. All of this on top of the fact that we as fans could help our recruiting by creating and maintaining the best gameday experience in America. Yet, now we are being called out in the media (ESPN and newspapers) for being bad fans.

I'll say it again, I love those two articles. I love what some of the players had to say, as well as, what the coach had to say about it...so many fans think they're above it and they can just do whatever they damn well please because they paid the price of admission. Well, true, you have that right, but others also have the right to see that same behavior a bit differently. Sounds like our players and coaches tend to agree with one side over the other.
