You would rather see the offense struggle in an intersquad scrimmage IMO. If the defense struggles, you could be in trouble - since they very well know what's coming. They know their team's offense formations, packages, personnel, etc very well.
Question if there is still a chance: Did JJ check down at the line? Did he make adjustments based on coverage?

quote:Not a slam at you for asking a good question. But it hit me as I read it that it's pathetic for us all to be hanging on who the best freshmen on this team are. When you consider how many top recruiting classes CLM has brought in, you must also factor in how little player development has gone on as these classes aged up and became part of the LSU team under his tenure. In other words, where are the really bright lights in the upper classes? I'm not sure we're seeing them shine.
who was the most impressive freshman of the scrimmage?
In three more years of a CLM coached LSU, we'll have forgotten about whatever stellar freshmen we may have in this year'ss incoming class because they too will not develop, and we'll all be asking the same question as today. Pathetic.
"Houston, we've got a problem."

Jaw, we have seen most of the upper classmen play a good bit, and know how they perform. People want to know how the freshmen performed because it was their first time competing with SEC caliber competition in game situations.

with your report on Wares quick vision only confirms my assessment on comparin him to a bigger Knowshon Moreno, people think Ware because of his size will be a hardhitting RB which he can do, but the kid is much more elusive than people realize.

I agree with the pending doom, no player development, by the two posters. I mean frick, we only improved last year from the previous year so we are obviously headed down the toilet...lmao There is NO player development on this team. PP sux, Sheppard sux, Nevis sucks, Tolliver sux, Ridley sux, and we all know randle and young sheppard will suck, as will montgomery, mingo, brockers, loston, murphy, Ford, Edwards, etc....why will they ALL suck...because they were not coached up. Just a bunch of stupid mother frickers on here.....yeah, I wish our sorry qb's had lit up the defense yesterday with 6 touchdowns and 500 yards....that would make me feel REAL GOOD about our D since they pretty much knew what was coming....lmao. You guys are so fricking stupid...a fricking scrimmage and you are writing the season off and the team his heading down the toilet. I wonder what you stupid mother frickers will say after miles brings his 4th team in six years to a top 5 finish.....losers....wait i know..i know...it was because of gonzales, or because he recruits well, etc...etc...etc....idiots.

Making sure. Because I agree with you.

35 carries for 163 yards does not seem too shabby when working mostly on short yardage and 1st and 10 situations. About a 4.6 ypc average. Of course that doesn't seem to include the sacks as runs (defensive stats show 3 sacks) so that might bright it down a bit.
