Dear BT,
If you can't see that LSU has a much better chance of winning a football game with JJ than JL, I don't know what to tell you. After making the trip to AU this year, I was overly ecstatic! I had just watch a young QB grow up, on the road, right before my eyes. However, that same kid didn't seem to be making any improvements in the next few games. You could tell during the BAMA game when he could have run for the first down plus more, but instead checked up and tried to lob it to KW, throwing it about 10 yds. out of bounds (this happening on the series right after throwing the Pick 6), you could tell in his eyes that he DID NOT want to be on the field, and he just wasn't in the game...it was at that time that JJ should have come in to play for the REST OF THE SEASON...but, JJ wasn't ready, right??? bullshite! The kid was ready. The only thing that stopped us from winning the ARKY game was the horrible play calling in the second half of the game! How many long pass plays were called after JJ threw the bomb to Lafell for the TD at the beginning of the third???
JJ checks off receivers, can scramble 100 times better than JL, and has yet to make a dumb decision...and has only played 1.5 games...GET OVER IT!

tell me again how you felt after the auburn game.
Posted on 12/7/08 at 8:28 pm to BT
if you wanna get technical, JL only played about 55% of that game...But, his first pass was a double pump pick 6
Posted on 12/7/08 at 8:35 pm to hondapa26
honda, I just think its foolish to king JJ qb after a game and a half and I believe its as equally foolish to crucify JL after 8 starts his fresh year...
IF you belive JJ has more potential than JL ...fine thats your opinion, but to say hes's better after no more playing time than hes gotten IMO is just not a smart thing to say. Only time will tell which one is better, I hope they both do well.

he has more potential only because he is more athletic (arm and scrambling ability), checks off receivers, hasn't made a very costly mistake, and the most important thing, he has gotten to see 8 games from a different perspective than Lee...He came on field in the Ole Miss game ready to play and it showed...However, Crowton and Miles did not see this, and they kept the handcuffs on him (which in essence, is Lee's fault for making the coaches sooooo afraid to let loose)!!!!!

so JJ knows more than his coaches...hmmmmmmm. interesting.

Nevermind the fact that Lee's completion rate against Tulane was 40% on 20 attempts for 99 yards passing. Tulane's opponents average a 63.9% completion percentage, good for 2nd to last in Conference USA. He also threw a pick six, of course.
Jefferson may have logged 43% on 21 attempts for 143 yards passing against Arkansas, but at least Arkansas's opponents average 53.3% against them, good for 5th in the SEC. And Jefferson turned the ball over 0 times.
too much common sense in this thread...

Look man, I want JL to do good too, but from what I hear, NO ONE wants to play for him anymore.
Do you not see that?
The TEAM doesn't want to play for Lee.
They don't.
They don't like him, and they don't trust him to be a leader. He's not a leader. He is afraid out there, and the best thing he could do at this point is just transfer.
