For starters, I absolutely hate comparing us to Bama, because sadly there really is no comparison. But for many, this season would be salvaged with a W over Alabama in Tiger Stadium.

I heard from the media, and a few posters here, that Alabama was in for a down year and this was LSU's time to shine. I watched most of the game last night vs USC, and that game was an LSU fan's wet dream: USC getting smashed and embarrassed. Sadly, it was against Bama and not LSU.

A freshman QB? No problem. The young man looked poised and confident as he ran their offense, scoring through the air and running. Their defense losing talent? They just reloaded with more talent and flat-out embarrassed USC.

So after yesterday's Wisconsin implosion, is anyone here really getting hyped for the Bama game and is watching Fournette limp to 40 yards rushing while Miles looks around confused?

I guess from here we can just enjoy some football with no pressure, and feel somewhat excited that the Miles era is going to mercifully come to an end.

Miles is Miles.
Saban is Saban.

That is all

Alabama is a fine tuned, well oiled machine run by a mechanic specialist. LSU is a Tonka toy controlled by a child.

It's coaching, man, along with great talent that they recruit. They are a well oiled machine. The opposite of LSU that has the great talent, but not the coaching. Saban's teams are fundamentally sound something LSU used to be under him. Couple that with the talent is the reason they blow out people. Only teams coached by a Urban Meyer can handle them, but watch Jim Harbaugh also because he is cut from the same cloth.

Makes me wonder how Miles hauls in top recruits every year unless these players know they have a path to the NFL and winning in college is secondary to them

LSU is a v8 powered radio flyer with giant rockets bolted on in different directions, no steering wheel or brakes, you just hit the "go" button and hope for the best. sometimes it streaks around like a balloon in the correct general direction, but it often makes a lot of noise, goes nowhere and hurts a lot of people.

That recruiting we're used to is about to come to a halt. There's no way he can continue to seek LSU to these kids and their parents anymore after this.

Some people may not like to hear this, but Lane Kiffin is a better coach than anyone on LSU's staff. He knows offense and mismatches. We never go after a teams weakness. Lane literally took a wide reciever two years ago and turned him into a decent qb.

He plugs in a freshman and beats a way better than wisconsin team in USC.

I just sit back in awe of what he can do with whoever he wants to put out there.

Lane>>>>>LSU coaches

As long as Lane is at ALABAMA, there offense will always put up big numbers. Couple that with Saban's D and you have a dynasty.
