not to anyone in particular

#1- McCray will be starting at safety for LSU next year. if you don't believe me, lets bet $5.00 right now.

#2- To date, Chad Jones has been EXTREMELY overrated. He is constantly out of position, has bad tecnique and looks lost ALOT. Yes, he isn't playing the position that suits him best, but that is really no excuse to look as bad as he has.

yes, he has made some great plays on physical tools alone, but chevis jackson ribbed him BAD last year and said the sack he had on JPW last year against Bama was the first time ALL YEAR he hit the correct gap on a blitz.....THE FIRST TIME!

Is it time to give up on him, no. Is it time he mans up and proves he is worthy of the hype he got, yes.

Maybe it's too much to ask, but would kill our coaching staff to give Chad Jones the nod at SS and Karnell Hatcher (Maybe even Loston?) the nod at FS for next year.

I'm really tired of Coleman and McCray. Sorry, but neither is good.

CJ at 225 could play LB, you don't need to be 250.

Why was Jones moved in the first place?

Because our defensive staff thinks it's better to put a 210-220lb safety on a slot WR than a CB with speed.

I disagree big time. He missed tackles in every game he played at FS. He's not a good open field tackler at all. Even true freshman Hatcher looked better.

I don't know about that, but McCray def. left something to be desired in his tackling when he was at FS. I really don't know what heppened with the other 2, they started off decent - with spots of really good plays - and just fell off.

I'm sorry but apparently you just weren't paying much attention to him. Was he better at FS than nickel/dime? Absolutely. Was he anywhere near as good at safety as Steltz or Landry was for us recently? NO, not at all. He's better than Coleman as a safety but IMO maybe not even as good as Taylor, which isn't saying much. I didn't see any sort of an upgrade went Taylor st and McCray played his spot.

LINK

Go to :40 in that video to see one of the many tackles he whiffed on= this year at FS and either gave up a TD or a long play because of his missed tackle. He's not a very sound open field tackler, and a safety NEEDS to be that kind of player.
