My anticipation for the season is always incredibly high, but with us playing so many new talents next year, it is very intriguing.

I can't wait to see all this young talent get their chance in the sun. Remember in 2011 we had some sophomores that lead our defense, maybe the same can happen next year.

It will feel like a brand new team on defense with all the new personnel that will be out there.

LSU will probably frick up a few games in an intriguing manner, too.

Especially with this new class lsu is bringing in this year. There will be a lot of guys getting early PT. The future is bright. Can't let these people that hate the program get you down about it.

Probably.

I just hope Faulk stays. Even in our system, bringing the entire offense back should be an improvement.

I can see us dropping Bama and Ole Miss. We step up against Johnny Manziel.

Debo and Kwon will turn some heads this year. They are physical freaks. As is Corey Thompson.

Oh and I recommend to people who don't follow recruiting to take a gander at some videos of our class. It is a lot of fun to watch them in HS then see them play in P&G next year.

Our DLine haul is great and we should be fine.

The upside to so many players leaving early for the NFL is how strong we will now finish with our already strong recruiting class. New recruits will have a great opportunity to play early in the best college game day atmosphere in all of college football.

yeah just do that. And just watch a video from each player. I promise it will reassure you of the bright future for us.

I am intrigued by our offense's ineptness over the last several years. . .despite being among the most talented in all of FBS.

The entire SEC is intriguing really.

LSU, Georgia, and Florida have already lost quite a bit from last year. Texas A&M is going to as well.

Will have to see who from Alabama declares.

But the entire SEC will be different next year.. If Alabama wins it tonight. Next year may be the year the SEC doesn't win a title.

It's always interesting to see newbies, but I don't think there is any comparison in 2012 to what happened in 2010 in terms of playing freshmen and sophomores on defense, and being so dependent upon youth.

Remember that 15 freshmen and 12 sophomores saw playing time against UNC in the 2010 opener ( LINK), while Jr./Sr. leadership for the season was mostly limited to PP (Jr.), B. Taylor (Jr.), K. Sheppard (Sr.), & Drake Nevis (Sr.) ... with a little bit of Pep Livingston, Jai Eugene, or Ron Brooks thrown in from time to time for good measure.

I agree its not the same. But its not like we have a bare cupboard next year. People are acting like we're gonna suit up 170 lb. white guy walk-ons next year.

I've watched recruiting videos from high school, like TT, Mett, Landry, Boone, Shep. Only under Miles O you rarely see them at a high level for LSU

Well I was talking about defense because that is where we are losing most of the contributors.

Offense under Miles is what it is. Hopefully they will be better next year with basically the same squad back.

I feel the same but first we need to get through NSD and see what we have coming in. I remember when PP7 left I thought who in the hell is going to replace him. Two players stepped up and filled the gaps and brought home national awards...

Everyone hates LSU except BeeFense5. We are so blessed to have the only true fan post on the rant.

Our defense is being gutted by the draft. If we limp into next year with the same offensive philosophy I predict a mediocre year.

I believe it will be a very fun team to watch especially compared to 2012. Finally we will be underdogs without all the pressure. We have a lot of talent and hopefully a new attitude in 2013.
