I have really enjoyed this season. But have we put too much stock into this team?

I was really starting to believe we were final four ready and getting better and better. Was that just a pipe dream? I'm starting to think it is...
Not bashing them, I just think we may have all been overthinking this lately.

The tourney is a crapshoot.
People quickly lost sight of preseason expectations. We wanted a NCAA berth, and that quickly turned into Final 4 expectations.

We have the talent to beat anyone. We’re also young enough that dumb mistakes could lead us to lose to anyone. The fact that this team has weathered so many storms and sits at 21-5 is incredible.
We were due to drop one of these close ones. Sucks that it happened, but we’ll bounce back. And if we can catch some momentum at the right time, yes, this team has the potential for a final four run.

When you go to OT with four teams who aren't championship contenders and lose to a mediocre Arkansas team at home in regulation I don't think you can consider yourself a true final 4 contender. This team has been needing to take the next step forward for over a month and still haven't. Yes they beat Kentucky and can hang with top SEC teams, but this team would be no better than 5th in the ACC right now. People are being unrealistic. Tennessee will show us who we truly are.
