Good post Scoop. So far, the folk on this board have not had to consider that time share in Shreveport. And, speaking as an alum of ULM, I think LSU has an excellant chance of coming out of that game with a win.

You have over 24k posts on a Tiger website. You patronize a legitimately upset fanbase during some tough times. And you do it in a lecturing tone as if to say, you are here to help us think more clearly. Buzz off Redneck! We have a reason to be upset at this guy. Worry about your coaches conduct and his lack of class, and your unclean program.

Nice thoughts ... however if the shoe was on the other foot I am not sure Sabama fans would react any differently, if not worse. He is a man of good character who we wish was a better field leader and for the money he earns results are expected and certainly we do appreciate as fan base being the laughing stock of college football. By the way, I think the "Dream Job" is the one he has ... What will you say if the "Village Idiot" beats Sabama this year. Never know do we ....

Scoop you and I have some words about how good a man Miles is and I could not have said it better. I respect what you have to say about a given topic and you word it well and this time Scoop you have out did yourself!

This job of Coaching is not about character it is about wins and losses and putting butts in the seats and so far he hasdone well but what the fans are yelling about is about the intertainment side of the game.

A football Coach says that you win championships with defense and the fans want to see offense and how many TD's they score. The problem with Miles is he does not score enough TD's for this fanbase and to them he is not perfect enough to do it.

LSU could win the BCS NC this year and they will still want him gone. He is not smart enough for them and he is not good enough for them and myself are a unhappy with the way he uses and misuses talent. To me the biggest is the misuse of talent.

Saturday evening was not about the clock as much as it was with the missuse of the QB posistion. JL took them all the way down the field then he goes and pulls JL and puts JJ in there and they almost lost the game and they did loose the momentum. Had it not been for that 13 man penalty LSU looses that game and that is the problem.

Bama boy, thanks for outside observation. As for a person's character, how much character does it take for someone to LIE about whether he was telling his QB to spike the ball? Miles may be a great family man. A head coach HE IS NOT! This is a coach who has multiple times, missed BADLY on game day decisions. Bo would scold the shite out of Miles for his coaching decisions. Bama fans would love nothing better than to have this incompetent coach stay in BR forever. By the way how much character did saban show with his, "I'll say it again I'm not going to be the head coach at alabama" bullshite speach.

One question for you Scoop. Who would you rather have coaching Bama, Miles or Saban?

Not a fair question because we are winning right now.

Take Saban out of the question and let's go back to 2007. Me as a BAMA fan and after about 15 years of the crap we had going on at Alabama, yes I would have been happy with him being named as our head coach. Did you not see the defense he put on the field that year? I know he had Bo but didn't he hire Bo? Where did that staff come from? A lot of people thought enough of him to work for him.

Ok, awesome. So Les is a good guy, this is true. But so is George Bush but no-body gave him the pass b/c of these reasons. Bottom f'in line and I cannot stress this enough: Les Miles is hired to COACH, not be a fricking good example. He LUCKED out b/c of that last flag in the Tennessee game, and it almost made him look like a fricking retard, again. Im recalling last year when LSU played Ole Miss and Les didn't plan accordingly in the last seconds and let time run out. This is a HUGE no-no. And to think he didn't have his offense run to perfection in pretty much the exact same situation. Just goes to show how he did not learn his lesson. It drives me insane how happy he has been in the post-game interviews with these mediocre wins. Yes, I support him and hope he realizes the teams problems. However, he has repeatedly failed to prove to LSU fans, myself included obviously, that he has the leadership in serious situations to lead us to atleast win the SEC west again. I hope I am wrong. Not to be more of a pessimist, because I do like the man as a person, but one championship means nothing if you can't repeat it atleast once.

They did act worse...Shula led them out of the abyss and they pissed on his bags on his way out while welcoming their "god"...Saban.

Scoop is just flaming here...

He was never offered the UM job to begin with, so I am not sure what your point is. He didn't stick with LSU. That's all he had. Just cause Herbstreit bought the BS that Les was going to be hired by Michigan does NOT make it true.

According to more reliable sources, he was never even considered a legit candidate.

Yup, but the Bama fan knows Les turned down his dream job to stay at LSU.

Sounds great, all good points, but at the end of the day, Miles sucks at the most important aspect of his job, Head Coach. For 3.75 million, he is an embarrassment.

And not to say example setting and coaching don't go hand in hand. I'm just saying, if the athletic program based its qualifications strictly on ethics, then were in for a rough decade.

well said....but the scum that now permeates this board does not want to hear the truth. they are too wrapped up in what some never done a thing jackass on espn or what some pencil dick at SI has to say. it doesn't matter if it's true, false or somewhere in between....they just want to hear Miles trashed. ya see, the good folks in tiger land never wanted Les. they would prefer some loser who gives a shite less if a kid is a bum or if he ever graduates. they didn't get a name coach....they got a real man, with all his warts, who has done nothing but recruit, win and run a clean program. saban going to bama signed his death warrant because they know the monster he built at LSU will be twice as big in Tuscaloosa. it's the world we live in.

CLM is not the package we'd like to have. He's not smooth or cool; nor does he have a great rapport with the media(a la Pete Carroll.) BUT our program is not on probation and losing scholarships. CLM has represented LSU well to future student athletes and has kept the pump primed with outstanding talent. Like many, I just wish he could do more with what he has.

Opinions are like . . . well you know. Here's mine. I was embarrassed to win in the way LSU won this game. It was embarrassing to lose to Ole Miss last year in nearly the same fashion. We in Louisiana have a number of truly important things we should be focused on other than how ugly LSU wins a football game.
Just sayin'.
