you can give up 100 runs as long as your teams scored 101 when you leave.
obviously ERA, WHIP OBA things like that are good metrics for how effective a pitcher is.

Quality start is at least 6.0 inning with 3 or fewer runs allowed.
Skenes ERA is 2.43, WHIP 0.96 and K-BB 46-6. Not bad! They seem to be carefully managing him to 5-6 innings per start.

nah he’s throwing about 100 pitches an outing.
they just don’t let him pitch his arm off.
