I had a nightmare last night...

This morning around 4am, I awoke to my gf calming me down as I was screaming in my sleep. I was sweating perfusely and gasping for air. Why was I screaming? A fair question, glad you asked.
I was having a flashback of LSU-A&M 2015 game. In this game, we barely beat a hilariously bad A&M team at home. The game was sloppy as hell and it was honestly a microcosm of the entire season. But what happened at the end of the game is what really sent shivers down my spine. Our team carried Les Miles off the field to celebrate the win. Seriously? We had just lost 3 games in a row before this. Alabama absolutely nailed us 30-16. An 8-5 Arkansas team beat us by 31-14, and Ole Miss beat us by 20+ points.
At this point Miles was on the hot seat and there was a bunch of turmoil on campus whether to fire him or not. Neverthless, our last home game of the season, Miles comes out and barely beats this team. Now our AD Alleva is so overcome with the emotion of the players carrying him off the field and gives in to the fans’ demands to keep Les. Great, really love to see our AD make emotional decisions when it comes to a multi-million dollar program. Awesome.
This is terrifying. I realize we will have to suffer through another season of one of the dumbest coaches to ever coach a football team. My friends all laugh at me. “Les won a championship, he’ll always be a great coach for us!” I don’t get a minute of sleep that night.
Fast forward 8 months and we are playing Wisconsin in Lambeau. I drive 17 hours to this stadium only to see Les Miles lead our offense to 0 first downs the entire first half. 0?! Haha, what on earth did he do all summer? Great decision Alleva. Now two years ago, he was fired the day after losing to Auburn.
Ah, the terrifying memories that year brought to me. Will I ever recover? Unlikely. Whatever happens Saturday, at least I comforted in the fact that Les Miles is not our coach, and that we will get a first down in the first half, something Miles had trouble doing.
My girlfriend asks, “Are you okay? Why were you screaming?” I tell her I’m fine and that it’s a long story. I tell her to go back to sleep. She dozed off but I couldn’t. I am left staring at the ceiling, heart pounding. Questions are racing through my head: Are we even going to be able to get a pass off against Auburn’s D-line? Are we even going to pass the ball at all? Is our season over if we lose? Paranoid questions continue in my mind as this game will determine if we have even really improved at all since that fateful night on November 28, 2015.
I roll over and grab the phone from my nightstand. The time says “5:02 AM”. I sigh and sit back in bed, the only thing I’m thinking is that our football program has miles to go before it sleeps, miles to go before it sleeps...

Twas merely moments afore, that my phalanges of my thumb was unharmed. Yet, as a perused yon verbiage, I harkened upon an unpleasant feeling. FORSOOTH!!! I have suffered much whence first I set upon the path of seeking the end of said tome! Verily, I suffer much.

I don’t even think a ban is enough to punish a post this terrible.
