I had a conversation with a prominent coach in this state last night.

I came away very very concerned for LSU. He says their practices are an absolute joke. He gave an example of one he sat in on. Said it often took them nearly 30 minutes to run through maybe 8 plays. Definitely not enough reps going on.
He loves LSU and has actually been contacted about coaching position groups there, but he likes his current situation for family reasons. He said one of his friends that works for in the football department for LSU says Cam Cameron is a joke. Refers to him as Scam Scameron.
He said Frank Wilson is not only a good recruiter but is a fine coach as well. Frank wouldn't say it when he spoke to the coach I know, but his body language and tone indicated he knows the offense is broken.
Also like Orgeron. Thinks the guy can do a great job for LSU.
Says of Steve Ensminger he doesn't know what ensminger does at practice because what he saw, the tight ends stand around a lot.
Didn't give an opinion on steele, raymond, or grimes though.
I've defended Les and this staff for quite some time now and I think this positiger is finally out of bullets. I can't defend it anymore. Very sad days.

Another college coach? High school? What level?

I mean honestly I would be more surprised to hear they were having these incredibly rigorous and disciplined practces. You can tell from what you see on the field it's an unprepared and undisciplined team.

He has coached in both.

OP, you could not see with your own eyes that LSU has been a poorly coached football team for YEARS??

You're full of shite......I've attended many practices and never witnessed any of that. I can tell you the upgrade of Orgeron over Haley was incredible. Haley basically let the ga handle the drills and coaching.

I'm not surprised at all. That kind of discipline shows on the field.

This. Honestly, I find it funny how many people have found Jesus on this fine Sunday morning and act like these are new revelations.
This shite is endemic and has been going on for years.

Knowing the part about reps in practice is a lie, I don't believe you / your pretend source on any of it.

Not giving names guys. I respect the man too much.

I think for me I kept following the bread crumbs too long. I supported Les because he built the 2011 team. I supported Cam because the offense was studly in 2013. It was all flash in the pan though.

After watching this team the past several years, this makes a lot of sense. There does not seem to be any money plays that BH and the WRs are consistently executing with ease. Especially when it comes to opening drives, well coached teams come out and know exactly what plays to run and often work down the field with ease...ya know as if they practiced it all week. Only thing this team ever seems comfortable doing is run block out of power formations.

Give me his name I want it now.

exactly. an average junior high QB and receiver can run a 5 yard out or hitch if they work on it in practice. It's all timing and reps. They can't be doing that bc if they did it becomes 2nd nature. We can't complete a 5 yard out!!! It's unreal.
