Winning sucks !!! Those are horrible, horrible wins. Maybe they can have them taken off the record.

So why wasn't he hired as the OC back then? Spoiler alert, you will have no good answer to this question.

I do believe everyone in the country who knows anything about college football would know that Ensminger did not want the job at that time. Why don't idiot LSU knows this basic bit of information about their "own" team. Damn man !!!

How's that? By showing just how idiotic so-called "LSU" fans are somehow hurts the LSU head coach?

So you believe someone that has to be convinced to do the job is the best guy to do the job?

And there it is. Like I said, these threads cause this stuff as much if not more than the Anti O threads. Not blaming you Ree, just responding to the last post.

Hey Derek, do you know enough about football to understand that a full time offensive coordinator has duties that extend beyond what an interim OC does?

No, I really don't. Would you please explain some of the differences? I'm sure it will be informational for everyone who reads your post and gets a knowledgeable understanding of this huge difference.

And that being a playcaller is in no way comparable to installing your own offense in the offseason and performing all of the duties related to that?

Well since SE has done both multiple times, I don't see a problem.

the fact that you would type this and probably believe it is what's scary.

It's called catastrophe syndrome. You aren't the only LSU fan with the illness.

One major difference is that an interim coach is simply calling plays for an offense that's already been installed by someone else.

Hasn't installed an offense in 20 years, had to be convinced to take the job, but yeah, this is the best possible OC hire LSU could've made.

Hey man, if you are not miserable and constantly crying you are just not a fan. It's that simple. Get on board with the perpetual misery or GTFO.

So you do a "spoiler alert" and get bitch-slapped and respond with another question that has nothing to do with the original question. Are we deflecting here?

I know, and totally agree. This was a troll thread - plain and simple. I don't have any problem with it. It's fun for a few pages. After a while though it will become just like the 5 or so threads from yesterday.

He didn't want the job is a good answer actually, didn't think you'd actually say it.

The fact that he didn't want it and had to be convinced to take it directly refutes the idea that he should've been a prime candidate for the job. What top coaching staff is having to convince people to take the job?

Saban has people lined up to get yelled at. For that matter, O has some names lined up too but he thinks the guy that doesn't want the job is the best guy for the job. You're right, I can see why we have so much to look forward to with this backwards arse coaching staff we have.

Since he was already on the staff don't you think he would have had at least a small part in installing the new offense?

Did he set all-time LSU offensive records by just running the same offense just a Cam Cameron had done? No tweaks at all, just called the same exact plays and all of a sudden averaged 465 yards and 32 points per game? He must be one hell of a "play caller".

Yep, his whole time at LSU as an offensive coach nothing has ever changed. The same OC, the same plays, everything. He was lucky.

had to be convinced to take the job

Well this is it, this is the reason !!!! That's why he will be a bad OC - he had to be convinced. I knew there was a reason this would fail.

May be, may not. The only thing I have to go off of was his stint as the OC in 2016. He averaged 465 yards and 32 points per game. Better than what LSU did last season. But, I'll try to be miserable just in case.

Yeah, you shouldn't hire someone if they tell you they don't want the job and you have to ask them over and over to take it. You should hire someone that doesn't need convincing. That's not some novel idea. It's common sense.

You have your head so far up O's arse that you think everything he does is based on sound logic.

Maybe the D-line with Rashard Lawrence being joined by Breiden Fehoko. Greedy and Devin returning for their second seasons as starters. An O-line with depth and a new OLine coach who has one heck of a resume. A new kicker to replace the two kickers who gave up 36 free points last season including 3 missed extra points. A new though experienced WR who was a Biletnikoff award candidate two seasons ago.

with 1 qualified coach.
