The fact that Nuss is being paid millions for this season makes my brain hurt it's such a joke

Well in Nuss’s defense, he did have a pretty good year last year.

I certainly didn’t predict his play would fall off like it did. Injury or not, his football IQ took a nosedive for some reason.

What should also be studied is who was the fool who said at the beginning of the season that this team would vie for the National Championship. Even after their first win against a very bad Clemson team, I predicted LSU would go 6 & 6 on the year!! I was right again!

It wasn't unrealistic to believe he'd be great this year. He was like 2nd in the SEC in passing yds and had 8 games over 300. His regression is impressive.

I thought it was bizarre Nuss got engaged in the summer before his final “money” season at LSU. As if that should’ve been the last thing he should’ve been worrying about. Little did I know what was ahead.

I remember an old quote from Todd Walker when he said he used to break up with his girlfriends before baseball season. Todd had the chest to be great.

Hope he banked all of his NIL money because he won't make a living in the NFL, unless they need a tackling dummy for the practice squad

Statistically sure he did. But he played like absolute shite against good teams last year in our losses.

The way he is playing this year isn't really that surprising to me honestly

He’s never been that guy. People hyped him up from that SEC championship game against Georgia and it’s been all hype since then.

I think we all got fooled by the yardage and should have been looking at the details.

Nuss's air yards per attempt is some of the worst in recent LSU history:

(1) 2023 - Daniels - 13.55 AY/A
(2) 2019 - Burrow - 12.53 AY/A
(3) 2013 - Mettenberger 10.68 AY/A
(4) 2017 - Etling - 9.79 AY/A
(5) 2020 - Brennan - 9.14 AY/A
(6) 2021 - Johnson - 8.27 AY/A
(7) 2022 - Daniels - 8.04 AY/A
(8) 2020 - Johnson - 7.89 AY/A
(8) 2018 - Burrow - 7.89 AY/A
(9) 2016 - Etling - 7.87 AY/A

(10) 2024 - Nuss - 7.79 AY/A

(11) 2015 - Harris - 7.78 AY/A
(12) 2012 - Mettenberger 7.20 AY/A

(13) 2025 - Nuss - 6.74 AY/A

(14) 2014 - Jennings 6.68 AY/A
