Your post is dumb and a quick jump to conclusions. NSD is in February. I would hope that Kelly is taking his time and will do it right for National Signing Day. They guy has been in place for a couple of weeks. Glad he is not slinging cash. He will work the portal and the crew will continue to recruit and I am sure line up NIL within the regs and rules. You need to get off our Board. Change can be painful but we have plenty of time before NSD.

Hammer, meet nail.

This is exactly right. College football as we have always known it is now over. There is no reason to call the players student athletes. The NFL should be paying the freight for what is still considered college football, because it is no more than minor league football now.

It will be interesting to see how long boosters will pay the reportedly obscene amounts of NIL money to players when they can transfer at will every year. It does not seem sustainable.

I have a problem with it. I paid my own way through LSU and worked to have spending money. These guys already had free tuition and books, free lodging and meals, free tutors, etc. That isn't enough. The NCAA did this to remain alive. What we have now is minor league football being paid for by boosters, etc. This is a really sad state of affairs, and the NFL is laughing at everyone; they do not have to pay for a minor league system. NIL stinks.

At the college level it absolutely sucks. If LSU paid for every single elite player of course we would be okay with it, but the NIL stuff still seems wrong. I wouldn’t call it being a hypocrite like the OP is referencing. You can still agree something is wrong.

I think it does need to be structured as pointed out earlier.

We don't have a problem with it. We just need to do it too.

Where in my posts do I say players shouldn’t get paid? They should get every dollar they can.

I’m for it with some improvements.

Want to transfer? No problem. Need to sit a year.

If that rule doesn’t come back, the chaos will get worse.

You’re the definition of a jealous hater. Your experience is irrelevant. You were offering the university practically nothing.

Tamu has that class because of NIL

I’m not arguing that NIL doesn’t factor in. Saying it’s the only factor is just wrong.

I said this BS would happen and the richest schools, which LSU is not, will take over. Texas AM and Texas have just started faster than everyone else. Next year the others will have the blueprint to follow. Anyone who is a fan of paying kids is a complete moron. The fans won’t want to support programs wheresebackups are making more a year than they are

Texas, aTm, Arkansas, and Alabama are primed to rule with this setup…funnily enough, so are the Ivy League schools, Stanford, and others with ridiculous endowments.
