re: I don’t think people understand how QB battles work

Nussmeir and his daddy once politicked a way to start against Arkansas (a game which we win if Max starts) then later opted out the Bowl game forcing LSU to start a WR at QB. Those 2 losses led to LSUs first losing season in 21 years.
The thinking (or lack thereof) here is flawed on so many levels:
1) We had already lost five games without Garrett's help. It's like way off base to credit him with the losing season when he only played in one loss. No credit for Ed? Maybe honorable mention?
2) Max showed a lotta promise at the end of '20. But into '21 it wasn't like our offense was a well-oiled machine. There weren't lots of fans complaining when Nuss played vs Arky. It was more like it's 'bout time.
3) What the actual tenor of the communication was between the dad and Peetz is only partially known. Here's an article from Glenn Guilbeau on it. You've earned a trip to Glenn's office.
4) So, Nuss is a bad QB who throws a lot of ints, but you wanted him to play QB vs KSU in the bowl game? Why? Didn't we lose bad enough without Nuss making it worse? What's the thinking here? You wanna clarify your position?

I’d like in the Citrus Bowl the QB derby begins
Let Daniels play first 3 series
Nuss plays the 2nd 3 series
And Howard plays next 3 series
All with starting OL and WRers
Then let’s take it from there going into spring
I don’t know what y’all think is happening here. The guy who got LSU to the SEC championship game and is coming back for a final season will be the starter.
There will be no open competition. I honestly have no idea what the frick is going through y’all heads. So much hate for JD y’all can’t even think straight.
I’ve honestly never seen anything like this. The guy won more games than anyone thought they would, and had one of the best qb seasons in the history of the program, and so many of y’all despise him and are turning on a great coach over it. Insanity.

Respect for infusing a little logic in here.

Man take this expert analysis down so other coaches in the nation don’t take this info and beat LSU with it, unless it’s specific to the backups at LSU being better than the starter.

“ ou couldn't be any more wrong. No coach, not even Les Miles, would start JD over the next Joe Burrow if he were on the bench. Only time will tell if anyone on the bench is going to step up in 2023. ”
Joe was on the OSU bench when Urban stuck with Barrett!

CBK won't be coaching long if he's going to try and lose. He'll start the best option whether he was the coach to bring him here or not.

Exceptionally well thought out right up to the last sentence which was outstanding as months ago I was questioned in my thinking that Howard’s and LSU’s future might not be on the ‘same page’.

But didn't the new coach know the kid couldn't throw deep?
