Those muffed punts are on the coaching staff for not having him ready to take punts. That or he wasn't picking up the skill and the coaching staff couldn't see it. Knowing what little I know of Nabers it wasn't because he didn't put in the work.

He's a fine young man who has developed into a really good starting wide receiver. Malik has earned his starting spot and we need him on the field. That being said, you cannot have a punt returner drop one punt much less two in the same game.
