My son in law and I were saying the same thing this morning. It's the absence of creative schemes and timing of their use.

It is impossible to defend Les. He lacks fundamental characteristics of a sound college coach. He makes the same mistakes over and over regarding clock management. Last night was the 4th time the clock came back to haunt us (Ole Miss, Tennessee, Alabama 2012 and Clemson Chick fil A).

Our last possession we got the ball with approx 2:12 on the clock with a 2 point lead and Clemson has all 3 timeouts. 1st down we pass for 8 yards (risky because we need to run the clock). 2nd down we throw again - incomplete (bad call, we need to get the 1st down and eat the clock). 3rd down and 2 and we throw the ball again - incomplete (absolutely insane, we need to eat the clock and get the 1st down). 4th down we punt. Clemson ball with 1:39 left and 3 timeouts to get into field goal position. We ran a total of 33 seconds off the clock when we really just needed a first down or 2 to run out the clock for the win.

Les Miles is the Dale Brown of college football.

No team is ever out of it when they play us for 1 reason - Les Miles.

And as usual at the conclusion of yet another disaster game, Les glosses over the fact that he made any mistake, is accountable for the final outcome, or even a shred of self examination or explanation. Completely gutless.

. . . . . And all for the bargain basement price of $4.5 million dollars a year. Nothing mentioned above is remotely acceptable.
