My question for you is, is there any outcome this year where you would turn on O?

I'm not sure about turning on anyone but if LSU played below there capabilities and like crap for consecutive games it would be very disappointing and would give me reason to have serious doubts.

I'm not going to freak out over a close loss or two in the BIG games this season.

This is from an article from 2004 on espn.com
quote:

Orgeron was subjected to a background search as part of the hiring process, and Ole' Miss officials were aware he was charged with repeated domestic violence more than a decade ago when he was an assistant at Miami.

"Many years ago coach Orgeron had a very unpleasant experience
that involved behavior he is not proud of," Khayat said at
Thursday's news conference. "[Athletic director] Pete Boone, the athletics committee
and I are totally comfortable and confident that coach Orgeron is
going to provide the kind of role model that we want for our
program."

Orgeron had a restraining order filed against him by a Dade County, Fla.,
woman who accused him of repeated violence 13 years ago, said
Robert Keen, a supervisor with the Dade County clerk's office.

The charge of repeat violence was filed on April 10, 1991, and a
restraining order was filed the next month, records show. Keen told
the AP that records also show Orgeron did not violate that order.

The woman later received a permanent injunction, Keen said, and
the court order prohibited him from going to her home or workplace.
The injunction was terminated in July 1992, Keen said.

"All I'm going to say is this: I'm completely comfortable with
the steps I've taken to correct the mistakes in my life, and
they're no longer part of my daily living," Orgeron said Thursday
in Oxford.

It was the injunction I was thinking of that someone said the judge needed proof to grant.

Give it a shot, Ree. Let's see what happens. You are misguided, my friend. Was he fired from Miami due to drinking?

Yeah courts don't grant permanent injunctions on wholly unfounded rumors. Ree being Ree

Well, he obviously changed his ways and seems to be a very loving husband and father. I can't express how much I respect that and that I would pull for him to be successful no matter where he was outside of that hurting LSU.

Same thing. I wonder if we are from the same place.

I have seen it in real life with people I know and not what people on an internet message board want you to believe.
quote:

they ALWAYS wanted the team to lose because (a) the coach would look like an idiot, and (b) they would be able to say, ‘see, told you coach xxxxxxx don’t know shite’

Yep, the hatred of one man caused usually normal people to go off the deep end. Unlike the Eaux-LSU situation that a-hole coach deserved everything he got - which was being fired after another season. One of the guys who left the team was a very good friend of mine and I personally witnessed the shite the a-hole put him through.

but I think my example would be more prevalent

I agree with this and have said as much in this thread.

quote:

Hope my example makes sense, been drinking today

Made perfect sense to me and I haven't been drinking. But after my run-in with Lunatic I may not be the best judge of what someone is trying to say though.

Oh, I hope you don't wind up with a hangover from your drinking Mr Hangover.

IMO, it's not the same because in your example the people you're describing feel them or their loved ones have been personally wronged by the coach and therefore are holding a grudge. The people I'm talking about are only being critical of the the man's coaching abilities.

I agree with most of what you’re saying. However, this situation on this board is different IMO because everyone is so entrenched on either side, it’s almost like CEO did something personally to them

But I understand what you’re saying lol. I think we are agreeing to disagree?

I believe we agree on some level as well as disagree on the overall topic. It's no biggie though. Isn't that how most rational discussions go?

For the people on here that truly hate Eaux it will be hard if not impossible to pull for LSU to win while knowing any success the team has Eaux reaps the benefit.

You have no critical thinking thinking abilities whatsoever. Its either white or black, which is just not the case.

I've severely disliked politicians, but I still wanted them to do well because they represented me in my city, state, country etc.

Sadly, O runs the team that I love and spend way to much time and effort talking about lol...i want him to win just as much as I wanted Les or saban or dinardo to win.

Can't you comprehend that?

I answered you in kind.

My post from Friday night had no such name calling ben. And I actually said in my post that even though I don't have a clue what you're going thru, I wished you the best.

quote:

I'm certainly not going to take abuse.

Neither am I.

You posted something I took to be either insulting or you were running me down.

All I said was that in past posts, I've seen you attack other posters and call them names. The same way you have to me. When you first did that to me, a few months back (I don't remember the exact date), I responded back with insults. And I mentioned in my Friday night post, that if people were flipping you shite, perhaps it's because you've treated them like shite in the past. That's it in a nutshell. If you were offended by my post, I don't know what to say.

quote:

Either way I said what I said in retaliation.

That's fine ben. I wouldn't sit back and take shite from another poster either. Especially if I felt it wasn't warranted.

theres no right or wrong answer here so don't be afraid that you are being caught in a perjury trap.

no. I want LSU to lose to force a massive change that is needed in athletics department and football program. LSU is too good to have coaching that nobody else wants.

quote:
Why do you even claim to be a fan of LSU if you want them to fail
because failing now for a short term is better than slipping back into mediocrity. If you can't see it coming, then I recommend that you open your eyes

Here's an example right here.

And you were wrong. If you had read the actual thread you would've known that but perhaps you read the thread, understood that and used the thread to take a shot at me anyway. Either way continue with whatever it is you're doing.
