I still think he can and probably will be great, if he sticks it out, and starts his junior year like almost all qb's at top college programs, he could be a savior qb.

The fact that Brennan was unable to beat out McMillan and Narcisse is alarming.
He passed them both up last year after being on campus for a couple weeks. Of course, we also had a competent OC that could develop QB’s last year.
He didnt "pass" anyone. He was "placed" in front of them. Think about it, how was he good enough to beat them out for 2nd spot after only a few days in camp, but can't separate himself throughout an entire Spring practice. This comes down to the fact that the fact that CEO was not prepared for the "wrong" guy to win the job.

If you really think that LN and JM are ahead of MB in the depth chart at this moment you are more delusional than I thought... Brennan is #1 and Burrow will have to knock him off the pedestal! I don’t give a damn what is being said on the web. You better believe it!!!

I'm not gonna lie.. I was in that group. I legit though that dude was going to save LSU's football program and bring us back to prominence.
Give it time. There will soon be another 16 year old kid you can place all your hopes and dreams on.

Well, he still may. Remember the times when QBs were expected to grow and develop as a backup before taking their spot in the bright lights as a junior or senior?

yep way to early to label Brennan or Narcisse as busts. I just like our QB situation a whole lot more with Burrow now on board and Brennan and Narcisse waiting in the wings and with an upperclassman in McMillon as a backup. Really it is almost the ideal QB depth chart for a college football team other than you would have liked to see the starter (Burrow ) with some clean up PT experience as a QB in your system. If we can maintain it and then let it sort out the following spring when you bring in another QB in the next recruiting cycle.
It's like the QB depth chart is resembling the way one ideally should look.
If we land two promising QB recruits in the 2019 class then either Narcisse or Brennan transfer (whichever one looks like they aren't going to be the #1 back up the following fall) and then the two incoming freshman go through the same process of competing to get ahead of the other.
If you happen to land that rare talent that beats everyone on the depth chart as a true freshman then all the better, just as long as it isn't out of necessity.

Ryan Perriloux was the end of this for LSU. His frickery threw Jarrett Lee and company to the wolves instead of playing for a Natty. We have needed someone to step in as a premature starter since. QB wise, we still haven't recovered.
