The Texas QB is good, but we gonna boat-race 'em.
Err'body happy now?

LSU QBs aren’t facing BIG XII defenses week in and week out

OP is a child. If Ehlinger was on our roster, we'd be in love with him.
I’m not saying he’s not a good QB. I’m saying he doesn’t deserve the hype he’s been getting.

How their defense do...

Comparing a QB in the BIG 12 to one in the SEC is a like comparing apples and oranges
Alabama vs Oklahoma - 2019 Orange Bowl
Tua - 327 total yards, 4 TDs
Kyler Murray - 417 total yards, 3 TDs

How is Tua better than Trevor?
Did they not watch the championship game? TL was head and shoulders above Tua

Ehlinger had a good game against UGA too. Not huge numbers in terms of yardage, but very efficient and scored 3 TD on the ground. He's a good, possibly great ball player whether he's in the Big XII or not.

It doesn't, obvious child

That'll get people's attention.

Dude STFU. If burrow played that level of defense every week his stats would be significantly better. If you are trying to argue this fact then wow.
Also, Alabama was up about 50 points on Oklahoma early and pretty much quit. That's even according to saban.
You never stop do you?

Burrow had a good game against ga too, and that was with ga actually wanting to be there.

2. At halftime, Oklahoma was only about 100 yards behind Alabama

This is where it's time to leave a thread, where an idiot comes in and tries to pretend there is no difference playing a schedule of sec defenses or big 12 defenses. Now he will try and argue it. Later

I guess. Its strange for sure. Dude is a damn good QB.
I hope we kill him. But denying his talent is retarded
Texas's opponents' defenses had an average rank of 68 in total D in 2018 (and that's doing them a favor by only counting #101 OU once). They faced a single top 25 defense (#15 UGA).
Against opponents with defenses ranking in the top 50 in total defense (#15 UGA, #37 Iowa State, #40 TCU, and # 48 K State) Ehlinger's average performance is as follows: 20.5 COMP./27.5 ATT. (74.5%), 192 PA YDS, 1 PA TD, 0 INT, 12 RU ATT., 33.25 RU YDS, 1.25 RU TD-- 2.25 TD/GM.
Those numbers (especially the lack of picks and comp. %) are solid.
But he didn't exactly light up the scoreboard vs quality defenses.
The kid is good, but forgive us if we don't anoint him a top 5 pick just yet.

Those who know, know that Ehlinger is dog crap.

Actually he played one quality defense, and it was clear they weren't where they wanted to be that day. I agree, no one is knocking him, he is a good qb. It's kind of tough though to compare stats of two offenses and QBs when one team plays #1, #4, #11, #15, #25, #27, #34, #42, and the other plays the defenses that Texas played.

It doesn’t matter how good he is it’s coming down to defense. Our’s is badass and there’s replaces 7 starters from a already shitty D.
Posted on 7/12/19 at 3:59 pm to AlxPin
No one in here is saying he’s god’s gift to the quarterback position. Just that he’s a good, possibly very good or great, college QB. He’s going to be a challenge to shut down but I think our D could be up to the task
