NO they dont ask that.. They used to also ask if you were gay.. But now with the political correct crap we have in America today will not let us ask questions that should be asked. Like are you a Communist???

Too many people want to make the military a social experiment, when that's clearly not it's function.
I was in at the tail end of the Cold War, so I remember the Communist question as being relevant. I didn't know if it had survived DADT.

I've been here for 3 years and it's not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. In fact, I'm gonna retire here and get a government civilian job. Believe me when I say that there are places in the Army that are alot worse, namingly Fort Drum and Fort Irwin. Drum is exactly like Polk, but it gets 200 inches of snow a year and Irwin is farther out in the middle of nowhere than Polk.
Back to the Marines/Family members posting in the LSU fan page. I've been active duty Army for more than 19 years. I've met plenty of people from all Branches of the Military. While there are idiots in every branch, the Marines have a collective ego that tops us all. It wouldn't surprise me if the Marine(s) in question went to the bar, got pissy drunk and tried starting some crap because they knew the football team was there. I've heard rumors that the guy was fresh out of training. If so, he might have still had the brain-washed Marine effect going. Just a few thought on the matter.
ETA- I readily admit that there are people in the Army, Navy and Air Force that would go to bars, get drunk and start shite with people in the bars. I don't mean to soley point it out about Marines. Hell, Army Infantry/Combat Arms guys are notorious for causing trouble.

Fort Leonard Wood (Ft. Lost-in-the-Woods, Misery) sucks the sweat off a dead man's balls. We always called it "Little Korea" because of the temperature extremes (ranging from a low of 2 degrees above to 117 degrees in the 8 months I was stationed there). If I never see that place again, it'll be too soon.

I was stationed at Ft Hood and I would not consider that place any better than Polk. I guess it's all a matter of personal preference, eh? I was at Ft Irwin for a month of training...that place is hell.

Alot of people get JRTC and Fort Polk confused. JRTC truely sucks arse, but the post of Fort Polk is pretty nice.

The military is full of F**ked up people!
The armed forces are a representation of the American public as a whole. While most can fall into the honorable and even hero category many do not!
I am a military police officer and all of the following have been and/or are currently still going on in the military:
- Gangs
- Former and current gang members
- Prostitution rings "mainly on carriers"
- Thieves
- Rapists
- Murders
- Traitors
Not every person who puts on the uniform is a hero!
If this kid was straight out of boot camp then he is one of the worst retards! When I got out of boot camp I thought I was a bad arse and 10 feet tall...until I got to my first ship and got put in my place! Boot campers have the basic knowledge, sense of entitlement, big heads, and very little good sense. They learn that over time.
He probably got liquored up, ran his mouth and tried to do MCMAP on someone and got his arse kicked.
p.s. the actions of a few can still be a black eye on the entire armed services. Ask the Army guys from Gitmo and the two Marines who went to Leavenworth for tossing a puppy off a cliff and putting it on YouTube.

I'm not assuming anything. Why are you saying it is ok for people to make assumptions the complete opposite of what has come out so far? Is it ok to hate this guy more than the ones hating on JJ?
The only facts known so far are these people were injured. The players were not. These people called the police and want to file charges. I'm not going to assume they made all this crap up. I'm waiting for the investigation to end and see what the police find.

How many people on this board realize there is over 240,000 service-members in the Marine Corps? How many of you know we still, currently have Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan. I've been in for over 14 years, Iraq(twice), Afghanistan(3 times), 4 Westpacs. I don't even have a facebook account. Please stop degrading the Marine Corps and other Armed Services because of the actions of a few knuckleheads.
