Same here...I learned a long time ago not to expend my energy making myself miserable about sports. I follow them and enjoy each game and the chips just fall where they may....

I’m just enjoying the basketball team RN. Tired of hearing the bitching about football already.

I’m moving on as well.

Glass half full, Canada didn’t impress me at all.

Glass half full,
* Sullivan will make the WR's much better from a tech coaching point of view. (Send MJ out to recruit and keep him out of the way at practice)

* Cregg has got to be an improvement over Grimes. He'll have to be a Miracle Worker with Clapp declaring and no legitimate SEC caliber backup Center on the team. They'll absolutely have to move Deculus to Center in the Spring and get the Mississippi kid (Cole Smith 6-4 275) up to speed very fast. Put 20-25 pounds of muscle on him an hopefully he'll be good to go.

* Brennan will be another Tommy Hodson if they can get the Center position stabilized. (The Clapp announcement was devastating in my opinion. MB needed him back this season)

* Aranda back in Purple & Gold. (And not Maroon & White)

* The Offensive staff will be unified this season. I think it will be more wide open than we expect. E wants to run 3-4 WR sets and throw the football. He knows what LSU has in MB. (OL )

If you want hope, go to church. You are not going to find it here.

I can reason why E was hired. So I’m over it

I can’t reason at all why O hired Canada.

And I’ve done my share of it. Rethinking whole thing. Not entirely happy with any of the hires or with AD, but it is what it currently is. Besides, entirely possible that I and the collective “wisdom” of the Rant’s malcontents could be wrong about all of it. So why make myself and lots of others miserable with all the whining and uninformed speculation? O has not won it all yet but neither has he abjectly failed at LSU.

So I’m stepping away from the abyss of misery and negativity, and taking a wait and see agnostic viewpoint for now. Done with the bitching. Big waste of my time.

Can’t change anything anyway - except for my own attitude.

I hope this is true. Between O and Alleva they've made a mess of things. I'm Less concerned about Ensminger than I am about O right now. I'm still and always will be supportive of the coaching staff but O isn't winning many hearts and minds with some of his antics.

the thing about Canada is that he showed a lot of promise at times and then layed eggs at other times. his offense, at least, was not that predictable and the defense had to defend most of the field. unfortunately, when we got into the red zone, the offense was indeed predictable and we just didn't have the OL to overcome that.
