Bama needs to circle the wagons then, because there are about 50 regular posters here who have a man crush on their coach
When you speak of a man crush: That there coach has taken a middle of the road team and in a 3 yr span gone unbeaten in the the SEC in two of those years, played in the SECCG twice, Won the NC once, and most over looked has the best defense in the country? Dont forget the fact that he was our coach, and we lost him by default because he thought he wanted to be a head coach in the NFL. Then hell yea I have a man crush. When I look at the flip side of that coin I see Miles has taken what Bama has and turned it into what Bama used to be. A middle of the road team. You are what you are. Over the last two years LSU is 8-8 in the SEC. For a the Miles lovers, You are not faceing the facts.

Yes he has had some bad moments but most everybody has.
When it comes to public speaking, Miles would do well to learn from SEC Masters like Nick Saban, whose eloquence was best demonstrated in his comparison of a loss to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor. Saban is cited by many around the SEC as the conference's most articulate spokesman, and with comments such as the one above it's easy to see why.

that thing against auburn was luck. pure and simple. it walked a fine line between america's funniest home videos and world's dumbest. it was like watching a stupid decision that was a near accident but no one got hurt, so we can laugh about it.
This shows a complete lack of understanding of football or the situation.
The call against Auburn was on of the best calls of all time. There was NO danger of the clock running all the way out. If Byrd doesn't make the catch we STILL have a timeout in addition to the clock stopping on the incompletion. (with .05 left on the clock)
For this play to be given as some proof of Miles' incompetence is about as STUPID as accusing him of being inarticulate for making up words that are actually words!

You are 100% correct. L.S.U. is smack dab in the middle of mediocrity!! Being rated 4th in SEC West also says many have no confidence in our present system.
Also, if you can't stomach the "You Tube" Ole Miss replay, listen to Lesticles assessment of the Oil spill..........................It is an Oscar or (Espy) award winner......so much mumbling and bumbling that you are not sure why he ends because he says "NOTHING"

I agree he is very hard to listen to. I have gotten so tired of hearing him say nothing that during the season I turn his radio program down and listen to Charlie H after his show.

Yes he has had some bad moments but most everybody has.

I guess he just has to implement his vision

The offense needs to find itself you guys will be a good team.

Most Alabama fans do. Hell, most fans of all other SEC teams do. I would too, if I were a fan of a team that plays LSU regularly.

Another mediocre fan who couldn't find his way out of a oneway dead end street.

How so? He has a very talented team that doesn't even come close to living up to the talent level?

He is a straight shooter
If you wanted a straight shooter, then you should be happy. If you wanted a good football coach, I don't think you should be happy.
quote:
I think he knows what he is talking about.
If you see his coaching choices, you would see that he doesn't know what he is talking about. Being able to talk about it and being able to do it are two totally different things.
quote:
Yes he has had some bad moments but most everybody has.
Not as many or as bad. His bad coaching at times last year was famous. If you want a coach that is known (and it is warranted) for making bad choices, then keep him.
quote:
I guess he just has to implement his vision.
This is what separates a good coach from a bad coach.
quote:
Just my honest opinion!
So what you are actually saying is you like him as a person, he is a straight shooter, and he talks a good game. Got it.
However, he was hired to be very successful at coaching. I don't think many here feel he has been successful at the level that was expected of him.
Just my honest opinion.

I guess it's,what you see is what you get with Les.
He uses the word "the want" repetitively. So I know he's not some fancy synonym using public speaker.

I agree
the difference between Les and Saban (and Dooley, who is the more elegant law-degree-clone of Saban)
is
Les says what he is thinking, which, in any given context, takes thought and time.
Saban and Dooley recite platitudes, and short sound bites.
slick pricks.

Well, if I were a Bama fan, I'd love Les. I don't want y'all to like our coach. I want y'all to hate the SOB.

Wow, this is one of the most idiotic Miles supporting statements I have ever seen on this board. You are joking right?
That circle jerk of a time management scenario is exactly what is fundamentally wrong with Miles.

You forgot the part about him leaving nearly 6 years ago.

Good for you...I can't believe you are not embarrassed with Miles as a coach and spokesman not to mention your complete lack of writing skills.
Punctuation will do wonders to not only convey your thoughts, but also allow people to take you a bit more seriously.
