The thing is… he could be much better if he learned how to work a count in his favor. Force the pitcher to throw you a strike you like. A la Dylan Cruise.
It’s just not good baseball to always swing at the first pitch. A new pitcher entering a game with 2 men on will be a little nervous. Make him work a little. Situational awareness.
