My thoughts exactly. As the OP said (they claim)

For the sake of the argument I'll go with no. As stated before we're competitive in just about every sport and I believe our AD pulls more money. Realitywise, you don't have 13 national championships to trade.
Posted on 6/11/11 at 8:23 am to Jaydeaux
Well by bama standards LSU has more than 3 football championships. In bama terms, LSU is 1901, 1908, 1936, 1958, 2003, 2007 nat'l champs.

This is a good thought provoking question and I would have to say no and this is why. Alabama’s football tradition is a lot like Notre Dame, Michigan, Army, Penn State which occurred in the old school era. LSU’s rise to national prominence is recent history and in the modern era. Witnessing LSU baseball success beginning in 1991 through now and the football success from 2000 until now I would not trade for anything in the far distant paste. Winning the 2011 BCS NC will make it 3 BCS titles in 9 years and will set LSU apart from all other great programs like Florida (tied with LSU with 2 BCS titles) and make LSU a football dynasty in the modern BCS era. I would not trade the modern era for very distant paste success. We are in an era of instant gratification…. what have you done lately.

if I wanted to be a Gump I'd make love to my sheep and claim 182 championships
so no I like what LSU has and where we are going, thanks

Not a big baseball fan, so give me the football championships.

No. I'd rather be the program on the rise than the program in its declining years.
Besides, Les Miles > Nick Saban.

I'd rather keep the 2 bcs national champs and success in the past decade over bama's "success" in the past decade, regardless of everything else.

I'D RATHER HAVE A SISTER WORKING IN A WHOREHOUSE THAN HAVE A BAMA FAN FOR A BROTHER!!

Let me put it to you like this, Tom.
LSU is competitive in all the sports we have.
Currently LSU has more national championships than any other school outside of the state of California. That's 46 national championships in 9 different sports.
What he said
The only reason Alabama fans say they only care about football is because that's all you've got.
As far as football...
Since Bear's last year, LSU...:
...Is tied with Bama with 2 National Championships
...is 14-14-1 vs Bama, 4-10-1 at home and 10-4 @ Bama
...has 5 SEC (6 if you count '84) titles to Bama's 4
...and has a better overall win%
So basically, LSU has a slight edge on Bama since I started college at LSU.
So Bama football isn't quite as awe inspiring to LSU fans as you might think, and overall your athletic department is pathetic compared to LSU's.
..Thanks for the softball coach, by the way. How does it feel to be a fan of a 'stepping stone' school?

you'd both rather be Gators. Great in football, baseball, and the one you guys seem to forget about basketball. Not to mention we are better in damn near everything else too, including the education.

bama baseball was 9th in the country in attendance in 2010... 4,156 average, not bad.
it looks bad because they were 5th in the SEC West, but they have potential
now i don't want their past national titles, because what would we do with them? but i'd give them LSU baseball for Nick Saban back...
