Yeah, perhaps I should have worded it differently. I meant I wanted the real half.

No way. Sorry. Just no. I'd rather have our history than Bamas. LSU has more SEC championships than Bama (all sports considered). Football is surely the most well known, but I love the diversity at LSU.

And I wouldnt want our fanbase to be as annoying as Bama's with all their 'claimed' titles. Makes soooo many UA fans annoying.

And I'll say the same with Notre Dame. No thanks.

Using BAMA math, LSU has 7 college football titles and 6 Baseball titles + 1 NCAA Men's basketball title.

That's 14 national titles in the 3 major sports to Bama's 13. I'll take LSU's thank you and without hesitation.

this also includes 4 Final Fours in basketball.

Alabama's top sport (football) performers, Mark Ingram and Shaun Alexander do not equal LSU 3rd best sport (basketball) performers, Glenn Davis and Shaquille Oneal

this is actually a good question.. and a tough one..

its hard to distance myself from the LSU baseball tradition..

would i rather have Bama's football history or LSU's baseball history?

I think if LSU had never won a football NC, and especially if we hadnt won two recently, then i would say yes.. but i love LSU baseball, and the football team is well respected, so i will say no and keep the 6 CWS titles..

if you actually had 13 football titles then MAYBE! but as it is now, in reality (which i know is hard for gumps to grasp).... not a snowballs chance in hell.

LSU > bama all day

once they get a taste of what a CWS feels like, they might understand

Let me put it to you like this, Tom.

LSU is competitive in all the sports we have.

Currently LSU has more national championships than any other school outside of the state of California. That's 46 national championships in 9 different sports.

The only reason Alabama fans say they only care about football is because that's all you've got.

As far as football...

Since Bear's last year, LSU...:

...Is tied with Bama with 2 National Championships
...is 14-14-1 vs Bama, 4-10-1 at home and 10-4 @ Bama
...has 5 SEC (6 if you count '84) titles to Bama's 4
...and has a better overall win%

So basically, LSU has a slight edge on Bama since I started college at LSU.

So Bama football isn't quite as awe inspiring to LSU fans as you might think, and overall your athletic department is pathetic compared to LSU's.

..Thanks for the softball coach, by the way. How does it feel to be a fan of a 'stepping stone' school?

The real question: Alabama fans, in large, care about one sport: football.

Thats all they can care about. There baseball tradition is almost non existent compared to LSU. They dont know what its like to be a baseball powerhouse.

No flame, but frick no.
Tiger fans have some glimmer of hope in keeping up championship traditions, usually into July.
Gumps spend Jan to Sept in irrelevency, waiting for FB.
You guys have to deal with FB DTs for 8 months,

No deal. Those six baseball championships were too sweet (super sweeeeeet) to give away. Even for football titles.

You keep you MNCs in football. I'd rather sit back and watch LSU Football pass you by.

At the rate we are going in the past decade, we're up two to your won.
