So this entire thread is based off of TAMU's claim that they will be the first with 1080p?
How do we even know that LSU has finalized their order for their jumbotrons? Do we know if TAMU is exaggerating their claim?
Will it even be worth it due to the distance the majority of the fans are from the screens?
So unless the fans are sitting 265 feet are closer to the screen, they aren't getting an extra benefit

Why does anyone care that TAMU is getting these great screens?
I'm sure their new jumbotron will look great with those 4th place SEC west banners hanging from them.
No one can tell the difference between 720 and 1080 anyway, especially from 100 yards away.

Miles has lost control of the new scoreboard.

ESPN broadcasts in 720p so if you're watching a game on their network you aren't getting a true 1080 anyway.
Technically they broadcast in 1080i, which is slightly better, but you're still not getting true 1080p.

Say it isn't so. Can't wait to hear the noise with the south closed in.

Alleva stated in an interview this week that there will be 3 new "HD quality" screens next season.

2 in the south endzone.
3rd? Are they replacing the north endzone screen?

They've been working on the NEZ screen for a couple of weeks now, so I guess that could be a possibility.

So what are the specs for the screens in the south end zone of Tiger Stadium???
Posted on 3/8/14 at 3:49 pm to Supermoto Tiger
I don't think anyone knows the specifics of any aspect of the SEZ.
We'll figure it all out soon enough, I suppose.

One thing that is pathetic is that we only have shitty concept pics (that constantly change) of what our expansion is going to look like white A&M has an entire website devoted to their expansion with every angle you can think of

I'm starting to think it's by design. Info has been scarce throughout the length of this project.
I'm betting in the run up to the home opener, LSU puts on a big advertising campaign, in order to sell-out what would other wise be a very unattractive game .
