I'm not ready today for another long battle witcha, but I will say in short I just feel that Pelini's overall defensive numbers were better because of shutting down the App States and MTSU's and whatever other smaller programs LSU played. sure they shut down Ohio State and Va Tech, but those schools were overrated, you know that. All I'm sayin is when they played top SEC programs they didn't really shut them down, those teams moved the ball at will, even Miss State moved the ball on them. but I know you'll come back with something, else.

All you have to do is admit that you were wrong about the FCS teams we played then. I'm not sure why you are reluctant to do that.

You're trying to tell me SEC teams never moved the ball at will against Saban? Are you suggesting that we never played folk like the Citadel, Western Illinois, MTSU, ULM, Miami(OH), Arkansas State, and Troy while Saban was here?

We allowed fewer points per game in Pelini's first 2 years than every year under Saban except for one.

ok, I'm wrong, but I'll still go with Saban's scheme over Pelini's anyday. satisfied?

See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

What if Chavis employs a scheme similar to Pelini's and we allow just 12 points/game. Is that unacceptable to you or is scheme still everything to you?

I'm fine with that, I'm just for the Tigers winning another NC that's all, whatever works.

You're coming around. You may not be as dumb as I originally thought.

Manieri would be #1 on that list.

I'm glad you've come to realize that in the grand scheme, from a defensive standpoint, it's all about allowing as few points as possible, regardless of the scheme and regardless of the coordinator and regardless of the players.
I don't care who plays, who calls the plays, or what scheme, I just know I want a defense that strikes fear in all of our opponents.
