Attacking LSU's D
1) 5 days before the game I would send high price call girls to the athletic dorm. These girls would be infected with Asian bird flu.
2) Bribe personnel at the hotel that LSU is staying to give food poisoning to the LSU players the night before the game.
3) Hire a helicopter to circle LSU's hotel the night before the game with giant speakers blaring flight of the Valkyries.
4) Weld shut the LSU locker room doors once the team is inside

Attacking WVU's D
1) Run the football down their throat.

this is the first time in YEARS that i can honestly say that i would not even know how to go about effectively hosing our defense. my response was purely formulaic.

the answer here is that for an oc, you're simply forced to pick your poison while hoping that the defense plays un-disciplined football.

You and I have different definitions of success.

Oregon scored 50 PPG last season, and since the LSU game, has picked up right where they left off. They didn't really do chit against LSU except score on a short field and get a couple late garbage scores. Also, WVU is no Oregon.

Is that why they had 13 points at the half? (before they started "coughing up" the ball)??

OH! I get it now. You're like one of those that, if we don't score 40+ and have 300 yds passing and 200 yds rushing, they complain about the offense. Except you're the opposite. If we don't shut out the highest scoring team in the country, then we should be worried. Got it.

I would run jumbo sets to run right at the front seven and hope my linemen can get to the second level and push around the undersized linebackers. There is no way to run away from the speed. Also try to make mismatches with backs or 3rd and 4th wide outs on linebackers but not going to make a living on that. Dink and dunk passing game but the problem is that you can not get a 10 or 12 play drive against LSU D.

Not at all. Just noting that oregon did have success at times moving the ball.

lots of variety, lots of cut blocks, and force the linebackers to make the play (hats on everyone else).

I'd repeatedly use the counter trey. I'd pull guards to try to knock around the undersized DE's and blitzing DB's.

I'd mix in reverses to take advantage of over-pursuit. I'd run shovel-passes to take advantage of speed-rushing DE's who go too far upfield.

Brockers, Logan et al have been too good at taking away the A-gaps to run straight at this D. Running sideline-to-sideline is futile against Reid, Taylor, Baker & Mathieu. Misdirection is an offense's best bet.

LSU will attack this defense just like they did Oregon. Big offensive line against smaller D-line, it will be another slow methodical rape. I'll be surprised if we throw the ball more than 15 to 18 times.
