Just like Miles sticking with JJ. Had LSU dropped 3 games early on, Miles would start Lee. But since LSU has been winning, he'll continue to start JJ no matter how bad he plays.

1. We saw the fruits of this decision yesterday.
2. We can't "spell" Crowton with another OC from time to time.

really big if....we've got two teams gunning for us and one that is playing equally as well.

So with that record, how does anyone see crowton getting fired?

fired...no. politely shown the door with a roadmap leading to a hc gig...very possible.

if mett comes on board and we finish 12-1, IMHO Miles will sieze the opportunity to accquire an oc more in tune with the talent on hand.

There's no way mett starts over Jefferson.

Anyone that believes so is delusional IMO

Another possibility is LSU's offense stinking up the joint vs Arkansas and in the bowl game with LSU losing both b/c of the offense.

Miles would be under heavy pressure to fire Crowton then.

I think crowton is gone regardless. Isn't his contract up after this year?

if you're talking to me you need better reading comprehension skills. if Mett signs, comes in early and shows elite skills and solid comprehension he could very easily be at the top of the depth chart next yr. even if LSU finishes 12-1 with a SB win, Miles knows damn well that qb play has been a major factor in fan and alumni discontent. any one who doesn't understand that is just plain stupid.

How so?

JJ outplayed Lee yesterday. Also by anton at AU.

So in our only loss, Jj was the best QB.

Who knows, if Les doesn't play Lee as much at AU, we are underrated.

Point his, his "loyalty" towards a QB has not cost us a game, so tell me again how that is a fault.

Isn't about the record huh ... Your a fricking idiot!

let's not play any games and the the voters decided who goes to what bowl....

Find this out for me..... How many 1 loss teams (12-1) in the history of any sport ... if they have ever fired a coach!

it sucks coming on tigerdroppings because of idiots like you.... why cant you just shut the frick up and enjoy a historical win!

If we finish around 100th in total offense, he needs to be shown the door. Just because the rest of the team is having alot of sucess doesn't mean we should keep an obvious weak link.

Ranking near the bottom in offense 2 straight years is not good. GC's return will depend on what's available to make the upgrade more than anything.

I'm about 95% the other way. I think Miles knows that our O isn't doing what it should. It hasn't been for almost three years now.

We are where we are because of our outstanding D, great coaching by Miles to overcome our deficiencies on O, and amazing fortitude by our players to stay focused and believe in their coach despite the vitriol and hate spewed by the media and fans.

Crowton will not be back unless we turn back into our 07 O over the next 4 games.

Even going 12-1, it would be most likely because of outstanding defense/special teams.

Not enough to keep Crowton around. I think his fate has already been decided.

This is just one of those bullshite myths many have constructed regarding Miles.

Lemme guess, no chance because Miles never plays young guys over veterans, right?

my goal is to have a better offense. i was blaming crowton when maybe it was the qb and the ol. yesterday they played great. maybe crowton finally got off his arse because he knew his job was on the line. i guess i was either wrong or yesterday was an anomaly.

I will be disappointed if he returns in spite of yesterday's games. The only LSU football persons I hear praising Crowton after yesterday's game was Miles. I've yet to read a single comment from a player giving Crowton props.

If anyone has seen a player's quote praising the OC, please post a link to it. I'd like to read it.
