Now that the drama is over, it's time to talk football. What adjustments will Aranda make to stop Hurts from running all over the field like Ole Miss did? I think the strategy they will have to employ is more contain defense, keeping Hurts in the pocket and making him win it with his arm. That will put a lot of pressure on the Tiger secondary, but I think they will be up to the task. Any other thoughts?

In the words of K'lavon Chaisson. "It don't matter. That don't matter. We're us."

The difference between Plumlee and Hurts is the speed and Plumlee knew he was running most of the time. Hurts will run to escape. So, tackling will stop it.

it’s his 3rd time scouting Hurts, although it is a different coach calling plays.

Should know how to keep him in check

Make him throw the ball and hit him every chance you get. He’s a turnover machine this year. As long as Stingley and Fulton do their jobs, we should be good in the back end.

And most importantly a different and lesser supporting cast. Oklahoma is good, but the aren't in the same room as Alabama.

This time around hurts ain't got that dominant defense to back him up, doesn't have the Alabama rec to keep his arse standing, and that oline is no where near an Alabama caliber oline especially with the recent injuries. OU bout to get a sandy d#$k azz friggin

Aranda has one his best game plans ever a few years ago against Hurts.

We completely shut him down. Too bad our offense score goose eggs.

Aranda shut down Lamar Jackson. He’s proven time and time again that he’s incredibly skilled at putting together a game plan when he’s focused and has a month to prepare- probably the best we’ve ever seen. I’m not worried about Aranda

He fired after season so it won’t matter.

A healthy Delpit won’t hurt.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not doubting Aranda will have a good plan. It will probably be different from what we've seen the last 2 weeks though, with QB's who stand in the pocket. I think Stingley gets to have another big game in this one.

Last couple times didn't work out so well...

Good thing OU is not Bama and their supporting cast.

I was very critical of Aranda this year for the breakdowns and the passive defensive calls and play, but look at the results the last two weeks. He’s made the adjustments, upped the aggressiveness and gotten pressure on QBs. He’s going to get it done vs OU and he isn’t going anywhere.
