another thing PM mentioned is he likes to have his game in hand when he scouts the other game. Instead of scouting a game but the whole time thinking about his game later on that evening.

In PMs interview a few days ago he referenced this. Said he started doing it at Notre Dame when Skip did it here because of the reasons skip did it. you got a full batting practice right before the game, you do not have a chance of being delayed due to extra innings of the first game, you get to sit in watch the 2 game and scout the other 2 teams instead of preparing for your game, etc.
