And with Burrow having experiences at Auburn and Florida last year, he shouldn't be affected by being on the road. That goes for most of the team as well.
I think it will be a high scoring game both ways, Ehlinger is very legit.

They're replacing upperclassmen with better players. It would be a mistake to dismiss what they can do because they're young
This is based on emotion.
The have 9 freshman and sophomores on the two deep. They don't have upperclassmen at certain positions. Inexperienced players make mental mistakes.

And Stingley will be starting for us this season. Are we taking a step back at CB
Stingley is a generational talent are you really comparing him to their players? Even at that I don't expect him to play mistake free football. I expect his athleticism to be able to make up for a lot of it though. Most players aren't Stingley

Interesting comment from you after arguing for days that LSU may not be upgrading RBs.
Sounds like you forgot your previous stance.
On the defensive side, Texas takes a major step back in experience. While their players may prove to be better by seasons end, you'll likely see below average play to start the season

To start, possibly. He will probably prove himself with experience
He's special teams play might also be an upgrade

I don't think I said that.
I think I said that Emery isn't going to start the season opener and wouldn't win the job until the second half of the season at the earliest.

I'm speaking in terms of talent. Talent helps when you don't have as much experience.

Sure you did. You argued endlessly that it was impossible to know if LSU had upgraded and our expectations were too dependent on guys who have never started in college
But now you seem to think Texas has definitely upgraded?
Seems like you're using emotion over reason

Talent rankings are largely based on projection. Experience is a major part of that.
The easiest position to make the transition is RB

I love it when they talk themselves into a corner. If they weren't so busy trying to discredit other posters and run the program down they wouldn't have to worry about it.

I said they have better players.
Have I ever doubted that Emery is a better player than the ones we have?
If you have any quotes from me where I said that Texas definitely upgraded and we didn't upgrade at RB I'd love to see it. You're saying things that I don't recall saying.

Based on what is known, it's fairly safe to say that yes, we upgraded.
What's known is that they haven't played a down in college so how can we know that we've upgraded?
I saw Leonard Fournette struggle most of his freshman season, and that was one of the best HS players to come out in years. He was not an upgrade at that time over Jeremy Hill, though undoubtedly a better player in HS.

Pbased on what?
Texas was ranked two spots behind LSU in composite talent last year
Where have they upgraded? Specifically
Which players?

I
I don't see where you've refuted what I said.
We know from results that LF wasn't an upgrade over Jeremy Hill at that time. If he was, he would've played better.

Which players have been upgraded at Texas?

Why don't you admit first that you made stuff up about what I said (again) and then we'll discuss Texas.

Did Texas upgrade?
Did LSU upgrade at RB?
Which positions did Texas upgrade?
I'm trying to free you from your cognitive dissonance.

Talent wise both teams upgraded at the positions in question.
Texas upgraded talent wise at both CB spots and at SS and at ILB. At least that's what the ratings say, which is all we have to go by. It's the same thing we're going by for Emery.
